Sloan Foundation , and is housed at the Institute on Education and the Economy (IEE) at Teachers College Columbia University Since its inception, the CCRC has taken a broad and comprehensive view of community colleges in order to frame the critical questions concerning the fundamental purposes, problems, and performances of community colleges. Since community colleges are vital to the aspirations of people and their communities, it is imperative that they become part of the mainstream research agenda.
