No Depth to applications
There is respect for all teachers but the applications provided in this book do not demonstrate true hidden techniques. I was definitely a little disappointed.
Disappointing, standard interpretation
I bought this book hoping for deeper insight into the old meanings of the Pinan kata.Unfortunately, I found the interpretations fairly standard, not the "in depth" promised. It's a good addition to a karateka's library, but advanced practitioners won't learn much new or deeper about these foundational kata of Shuri-te, Shorin-ryu, and Shotokan.
