If you have an interest in the technical aspects of mining opals in South Australia, like exactly where they are found, what types of stones and geograpical locations they are found in and the mining methods, this book is for you.

Its small book that is heavy on factual information and would be a mine in itself for anyone who wanted to do serious opal prospecting.while the book would be a bit dated now as to its figure in sections like _estimated value of opal production_ overall its a small and valuable tome if you want to know the specifics of modern opal mining both on a small and large scale and how opals are formed.
