Not a good DSP book
Great book for VLSI DSP
Detailed,and thorough,an excellent book
Required Text for Digital Signal Processing Designers Having the text for a few months, a group of us have alreadyapplied techniques offered in the text in VHDL. The first chapters coverpipelining, parallel processing, retiming, folding and unfolding theory. These chapters are necessary to really understand DSP optimizationconcepts.I have not found another text where these concepts arediscussed. The text is positioned well between a pure analytic text, anda "cookbook."Some personal effort is required to code atechnique, but this shouldn't be difficult for someone using MATLAB.Oncemodeled and simulated, the implementer should be able to translate the highlevel code into VHDL, Verilog, or a programmable DSP such as the TI TMS320in "C." Personally, I found Dr. Prahi's discussion of fixedpoint quantization by canonic signed digit format very useful. An exampleproblem is provided with each technique to enhance understanding.
Best book of its kind...I love it!!!!!!!!!!! |
