From the author: This article describes a long-term and mutually beneficial partnership between a teacher education program at The Ohio State University and Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Columbus, Ohio. The purpose of the partnership is to provide teacher education students with experiences that move them toward bicultural competency and the development of culturally relevant teaching. The history and nature of the relationship is explored, as is the equal-status, cross-cultural internship that the teacher education students participate in within the partnership.

The power of brainwashing
I was dragged to one of the celebrations of UC by my friend.
Rev Moon kept talking for 3 hours straight, making fantastic
claims about himself god and Jesus ! Most of the audiance was fawning korean dimwits who kept shouting throughout the show. what a pathetic
bunch of people.

Can't put it down kind of book
The author is my mother who passed just two days after completing the final manuscript. Am I biased?Maybe.But the book is definitely well written.It was five years in the making.It tells the essence of Rev. Sun Myung Moon's teaching in a down to earth style.Shirley (Mom) intertwined her own life testimony with explaining the teachings.In her mind, she could talk about Rev. Moon's revelation in no other way than in a personal way because she was so much affected, personally, by the message.It gave her hope, resolve and a renewed joy in her life. ... Read more

Church members regard Moon as the Second Coming of Christ, and he and his wife as the "True Parents" of humankind, who have realized the ideal of true love as the incarnation of God's Word. The members of the Unification Movement generally address or refer to Rev. and Mrs. Moon as "Father" and "Mother" or "True Father" and "True Mother." Their children are known as the "True Children."
