Serious Enlightenment
This review was fascinating! Nothing less. Most never knew L. Ron Hubbard was a two-bit criminal and fabricated many aspects of his life.How could ANYONE follow someone with a background like this? After reading Val Waldeck's information on this cult (Scientology: What do they believe?, and I assure you, it's a cult, I was just completely amazed. Some have written reviews that have been harsh and it's apparant and obvious that they are current members of the very organization she's exposed! Even the German government (who's fairly liberal) has tried to rid thier country of this mind-altering, brain-washing organization. It's a criminal cult with a criminally found leader and foundation. The guy even wrote bad checks and fabricated his 'military' service. Not the kind of person you'd want 'enlightenment' from. I HIGHLY recommend any of Val Waldeck writings, although I have no affiliation with the organization or such, it was an honest and penetrating to the bone writing and had me wanting more!!

If you're Christian and worried about becoming a Scientologist then read this...
...otherwise it's a complete waste of time and money (and yes, three dollars is far more than what this PDF is worth).Val Waldeck accomplishes nothing in this "publication" other than to state very clearly that Jesus Christ is the only one you should believe in.Make no mistake, the foreword contains the following: "This ebook was written with the earnest desire that it will assist Christians to obey the instruction of 1 John 4:1".

As a non-Scientologist curious what all this "Church of Scientology" talk is about I was grossly disappointed with this pamphlet.I use the term pamphlet as this text actually contains only 12 pages (not 40 - and in large font print no less!) dealing with the background/history/rumors of The Church of Scientology and L. Ron Hubbard.The remainder is pro-Christianity rhetoric with heavy biblical referencing and two pages with some vague bullet point style tidbits about what cults are and do.Save yourself as you will learn nothing here about the Church of Scientology that you wouldn't already know from word-of-mouth alone.

I have read all of Val Waldeck's book and have to say that I find them so Inspirational & Spiritual.She is an amazing teacher and has special insight into everything that she writes.

Better than Indiana Jones
This book tells the story of L. Ron Hubbard's search and discovery of locations he frequented in past lives about 2,000 years ago.As he spent time in each location his memory became sharper and sharper and he was able to exactly pinpoint specific buildings and structures and send his crew to find them without him personally going ashore.It is a story of adventure in 1968 and 2,000 years ago.He never repeated this activity and it was the adventure of lifetimes for 40 crew members aboard the "Avon River" as it roamed the Mediterranean for 5 weeks in the Spring of 1968.It is out of print so get your copy soon.

A book based on Hubbard's psychological dogma
This book contains several methods of self-administered psychotherapy invented by pulp fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard.Some of the methods may assist some people, however Hubbard pretends to know what ails the human race and rants about that in most chapters of this book.Hubbard fails to grasp that people are individuals with individual issues and using this or that method will "fix" everybody up has never proved itself in reality.
If I had to choose between doing the exercises in this book and joining the scientology cult, I would choose this book.But, the more sensible people will avoid doing either.

One of the greatest books ever written
I am only half way through this book, and already I have read more truth here than I've ever read elsewhere. And believe me, I've read all the self help books. L. Ron Hubbard is a true genius and certainly one of the most important teachers in this history of mankind, period. Get this book, it will change everything.

Great Techniques
I used the techniques from one chapter to quickly recover from a fall on concrete, where I hit my head, and a personal sorrow.I handled the physical aspects separately from the fall and on the memory of both was able to resolve the pain and sorrow so now I can think about it easily--as easily as normal memories.Thank you, L. Not for the faint of heart
This book is very helpful but not necessarily a walk in the park to use.It's all about weeding through various things that make life difficult and how you can work your way to a better state of mind.You have to be willing to work for it and if you follow the steps in the book, you get amazing results.If you don't do what it says in the book or only do it half-heartedly, you really don't get much out of it.I give 5 stars because it really does deliver.In using the book, sometimes you have to examine things about yourself that aren't so easy to face.Once you push through those things using the book, it's pretty beneficial. ... Whenever I need a lift I read this book.
The new slant on life is one of my favorite books by Mr.Hubbard. It has such a pleasantly inspiring way of explaining the simple truths that make life worth living.If I am feeling out of sorts I start reading this book and in no time at all I am feeling good again. Wonderful, it explained why conflicts continue to occur and how to resolve them!
This is a must read because it affects most everyone!Who hasn't had arguments with friends, co-workers and loved ones and yet even today, those past conflicts still remain a mystery.

At first reading of L. Ron Hubbard's How to Resove Conflicts, I couldn't believe it, but then I began to search out my past when conflicts did occur and sure enough it seemed true, what he said.

Then the next conflict I had, I appled the techniques in this booklet and varoom!!!!!!It resolved the conflict and we became friends once again.

Try it and you'll see that it is true
This very easy to read booklet, is jam-packed with vital information on dealing with people and groups.It is small, but powerful, and has provided me with a valuable tool that I use any time a 'conflict' arises now.I don't look at who I am arguing with, I step back and look for the common party to all of us, and it works every time - I discover that there is a 'third-party' trying to stand back and create a show for them to watch.It can save friendships, a marriage, a business relationship, and allows you to remain at cause in relationships and conflicts.

For the price of a coffee, this book is a tool you should have on hand, and refer to often.

I would highly recommend it, especially if you have ever lost a friend, or experienced a conflict that to this day you still can't figure out what happened.

Resolving conflict
I got a lot from this booklet. It's not very large, but the concepts presented are astounding - it's like someone pulled the smokescreen off the REASON for problems between people, and boiled it down to a few unshakable truths.

If you have ever lost a friend or a relationship and didn't quite know what went wrong, I think you will find this booklet very, very interesting!

It also gives a step-by-step handling for recovering troubled relationships, and I tried this out and I can attest it actually does work.

Thought this was a "book", but it's more like a pamphlet
This turned out to be a pamphlet...only a few pages.Probably half of which are devoted to the actual subject of the book which is conflict resolution.I think the main idea is a very important one which everyone should be aware of and consider when involved in any kind of conflict.Even if one doesn't go around asking some of the hokey questions suggested, just realizing the "third party" is a good possiblity, one can then respond accordingly....and maybe refrain from reacting until the situation is better understood, thereby saving, possibly, a relationship or partnership, etc...If you've ever had someone blow up at you for what appears to be no reason, there's a good chance that person has been misled by something or someone along the way.By understanding the "third party" idea, you can avoid that kind of thing, and avoid reacting to what appear to be irrational accusations. I would have liked more information and/or examples.This is just, basically, an idea layed out there in a few pages.

So True!
We know that individuals fight. Groups can fight. Nations can fight.

Most people get wrapped up in trying to figure out "what went wrong" when often it is very simple - there is a 3rd party making things go wrong.

Like the gunmaker that supplies guns to both sides - the French AND the English - there are people who feel they will benefit if two other people or groups are at odds.

Anyone who has watched a soap opera for a few weeks can see how this can play out between individuals. It is very clear on the soaps.

In real life it might be harder to spot the person who has an investment in the disagreements of others. This book provides data about how unresolved conflicts come about - and better yet, it provides the SOLUTION to these problems.

My husband and I were having some trouble, and we used the process in this booklet - it worked! We both discovered that a "friend" was not very friendly, in fact. She was creating upset in both of us - and creating conflict.

Once we spotted this, using the tools in this book, the disagreements ended!
