Thorough Yet Very Readable
This book is a detailed history of the Ridgeway Alliance Church in White Plains, New York (originally the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of White Plains). At first glance, that might not sound very interesting yet the author has written a book which is easily readable and genuinely interesting -- a good read! What comes through plainly is how God has used Ridgeway to share the Gospel with and change people's lives for the better. Also covered is the active participation of the church and its members not only locally but in missions around the world. This book includes fascinating information that may be surprising to long-time members as well as those attending for the first time. It will appeal not only to current and former members, but to those interested in church history, the C & MA denomination and Christians who want to read how God can use a congregation to reach out with the love of Jesus Christ to their community and beyond. Though the history covers 1907 through 2007, the church is alive and well and continues to be used by God to minister to people of all ages and backgrounds. ... Read more
