Ok for very limited information
This is not so much a scholarly work as it is a collection of limited information about most of the places Paul went.The best part of the book is the pictures, if you have the imagination to take it from there.

GREAT, EXPRESS AND PERFECT SERVICE
It is just my first time to buy things from amazon and it was my first time to experience the greatness of their services. I needed the text book ready to be used in my classes urgently and yet to get it in a cheap price as soon as possible. When my friend recommended to me to use Amazon I was skeptical about the time it would take for that book "Objects, Abstractions and Problem Solving by Using C++" to get to me. However, I chose to get my text book to be shipped to me in 3 business days by only paying $23 shipping fee in which it did not increase the total price of the product to compare with the text books from physical bookstores.

This is a textbook and a great one at that.
If you are interested in how to make HDR photos from your digital camera this is not the book for you. This book is written for developers and engineers.If you are interested in learning the theory behind HDR imaging - this textbook is for you.The authors are the experts in the field and the book covers everything from capture devices to tone reproduction and lighting.

I have to admit this book is WAY over my head.

Great reference, this is not a photography guide
The description of this reference states that it covers HDR imaging technology and it should be clear that this is quite different from HDR photography.Rather, this book details the concepts and applicaition of HDR technology, dealing with math and engineering behind HDR imaging.

As a reference, it was quite informative and comprehensive, starting from basics and going on to cover a range of technologies.A minor quibble is the use of pictures within the book. The pictures were often fairly small, particularly for comparisons and larger pictures would have been far more effective at showing distinctions.

Not what I thought!!!
When I first opened the package I saw a stunning hard cover book with over 600 pages. As I started going thru the beginning of the book I saw that it got all involved in color spaces and looked more like an algebra workbook than a book about a photography technique. Unfortunately, the rest of the book is about the same. While it does have photo examples of what the chapter is about, I found myself saying what the heck! I thought this book would be more about technique and processing your photos to HDR etc., but its all technobabble with algebra math. Very disappointed! ... Read more
