Siegbahn and his work with the high-resolution electron spectroscopy. He won the Nobel Prize for it in 1981. Response #: 1 of 1 Author: Sam Bowen Text: I do not have any reasonable information of this sort. You would be best served to go to the library and get a copy of his Nobel lecture. These are published in a number of places. That would tell you about his work. Kai developed x-ray photo-emission, a great technique to study the electronic structure of materials. the technique currently has a resolution of less than 0.1 eV. Many spin-off techniques have also been developed since then which also study unoccupied bands. Kai is Swedish, they needed a Prize. Back to Physics
