Like his father, his father's father, both his mother's brothers and his own younger brother, he took a Scholarship to Winchester. Here his career was characterized by breadth (Ancient History as well as Mathematics at A level) and speed (he won the Senior Mathematical Prize at the age of 16). One of his school papers which has been preserved is a Stewart McDowall Essay (1962) on 'The Appeal of Science to the Victorian Intelligentsia'. It is so usual for prodigies to be sophisticated, and perhaps even intolerable, that one must stress how far Davidson was from following this familiar pattern. In his work on Delphic semigroups he was the problem-solver, cracking one hard nut after another, but in his work on Stochastic Geometry, with which his name will always be linked, he quickly became, as Klaus Krickeberg has written, `the reader one wrote for': 'I have systematized, made precise and generalized many things, but most of the basic intuitive ideas are his. I always assumed that we would go on like this for some time to come, pushing each other ahead and complementing each other, and while writing the article I thought of him as the reader of it, and imagined how he would be surprised and pleased with certain things.'

You laugh at haggis! You unleashed Adam Sandler on the world!"), two of whom just happen to be grandsons of his father's employer. And to top it off, he has nightmare. Well, maybe not horrific nightmares, but certainly distracting dreams, showing a whole bevy of vampires collected at a cliff's edge, holding an amulet aloft to catch a strange ray of light emanating from a comet passing near the moon. (Got all that?) His growing interest and belief in vampires gets its reward one night when one literally falls into his bedroom window. Young Rudolph (Rollo Weeks), who's been nine years old for the past three centuries, has been on the run from a vampire hunter in bat-form, and the hunter's merciless searchlights have drained him of energy so much so that, when Rudolph attempts to attack Tony for his blood, he falls flat. Tony befriends him (only a kid would do that if a vampire tried to attack me and stumbled from weakness, I'd be looking around for the nearest wood I could whittle), and the two bond as fast friends.

"Reperspective" has been released, a Faithless remix collection for "Outrospective", available as a re-packed "Outrospective" double CD edition or seperately on vinyl. Dave Randall, the former guitar player of Faithless, has released an album "Nommo" with his project "Slovo". Rob D, who collaborated with Rollo as "Our Tribe" , "OT Quartet", "Sphinx" and many remixes, released his solo Album "Furious Angels" earlier this summer. Ibi Tijani, who worked as studio assistant and remixer with Rollo, released the single "Reckless Girl" with his project "The Beginerz". Rollo made some more remixes under his Dusted disguise for Dina Vass, Madredeus, Sarah McLachlan and Lighthouse Family. In the summer of 1966 he bought Solveig III , a Condor-class sloop of fiberglass, twenty-four feet length overall.(2) She was built at Lake Chiemsee in Upper Bavaria, along with forty others from the same mold, but was a day-sailer, not intended for ocean cruising. On August 3, 1967, Solveig III Solveig III from the air, and a meeting was arranged by telephone from England at a point fifty miles from Helgoland. Rollo was there at the appointed time, to the minute, at 1400 hours on July 22. A seaplane from the German navy with six reporters on board flew over him at an altitude of from seven hundred to one thousand feet at 1403 hours and came back ten minutes later for another pass and failed to see him.(4) So, after a leisurely three-year circumnavigation, Rollo Gebhard returned home to Garmisch and an enthusiastic reception from the ~ 321 ~ German television and news media.
