Silverball News and Views - November 1998 Review: Kelly Packard's Golden Cue Pinball Previous Article This Issue's Table of Contents Silverball News and Views Main Page Next Article Review of Kelly Packard's Golden Cue Pinball by Scott R. Tiesma, Editor Note: The game reviewed in this article was not in its completed version. Sega pinball will modify the design and/or rules previous to production. Sega Pinball has teamed with Incredible Technologies (IT) to bring pinball a new type of gaming experience. The game is called Kelly Packard's Golden Cue Pinball and was recently unveiled at Pinball Expo in Chicago. It is expected to be available sometime in late 1998. So, just how will this pinball provide a new gaming experience? Read on and you will find out. First, for those of you unfamiliar with IT, they are the video game maker responsible for all of the Golden Tee golf games seen in just about every bar, bowling alley, and arcade. Quite an accomplishment, but not something extraordinary - that is, until you realize that IT has made these games such that they can all be linked and tournaments across the country (or world) can be run. In fact, over 600,000 dollars in prizes has been awarded since ITS started. Second, for those of you who have no clue whom Kelly Packard is, she is one of the few returning cast members of Baywatch. What she has to do with pinball or billiards I have no clue, but she sure looks fabulous on the backglass, cabinet, playfield, and plastics. All of which will undoubtably bring in a few quarters around the world. | |
