Bob McLaurin added that the principal point of this (June 4th) meeting is to decide to go forward with the project. It is a good thing for the community, and the adverse impacts are only hysteria. Greg Hall will provide the Town's costs for the meeting. Julie asked for firm numbers for the Special Events that are revenue producers at Dobson because the Ice Dome provides an alternate venue so that ice time for users is not lost. In response to a question about how much sales tax revenue is generated from Dobson's events, Bob McLaurin stated that the Town would not share any sales tax revenue resulting from these events.
