Their adventures take them to the late 1800's civilized London, but they leave the horses behind this time. They still take down bad guys with kung pow chutzpah. The pairing of Chan and Wilson almost never happened. Wilson never intended to become a movie star, he just wanted to become a character actor. Producers Roger Birnbaum and Gary Barber asked him four times to do the first film. "We finally lured him in with greenbacks," Birnbaum said. The producers said that Wilson was apprehensive about jumping into a major part, but recall using an anecdote from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid in order to persuade him. "We told Owen that he should make like Butch Cassidy who in that film says to the kid as they stand atop a [high] cliff, 'When you hit the water it's nothing. It's the fall that will probably kill you.'"

Tuve la increíble suerte de conocerlo en 1984 cuando estaba rodando "Los super camorristas". Siendo un fan incondicional de Jackie desde el estrenó en España de la película "La serpiente a la sombra del aguila" (1979), y teniendo tan solo 13 años, ya podéis imaginar mi alegría al poder estrechar la mano del actor que más admiraba. Jackie es una persona increíblemente amable y sencilla, cuando  le enseñé mi colección de fotos (muy pocas por cierto) el rió, me preguntó el nombre y se fue a su habitación, tras pasar diez minutos regresó con dos fotos suyas firmadas y dedicadas.Me despedí, ¡¡y él se quedó en la calle jugando a frontón con otro especialista!! Regresé al día siguiente, y nos hicimos dos fotos juntos. (con  una cámara bastante mala por cierto) Y de ese modo repitiendo mis visitas casi a diario fui conociendo al resto de la "Banda": Benny "The Jet" Urquidez , un tío genial muy campechano, quien me dio una camiseta, Benny (sí, con el mismo nombre) un especialista chino que también me regaló una camiseta del   JC. Stuntmen Club. Y de vista a Mars, Sammo Hung, Pepe Sancho, Lola Forner...

martial arts films following are pages on the finest martial arts films in my collection and a few pictures carefully selected from the internet for your viewing pleasure. please note, what is expressed on these pages is just my opinion and i don't want to get into an arguement with someone who thinks fong sai yuk is rubbish cos it uses wires. anyway, you are wrong. i have split it up into three parts, as i think there can really be no direct comparison between the jackie chan modern style, the jet li original hong kong traditional style, and the bruce lee revolutionary style that argueably led the way for all martial arts films and stars since, and broke martial arts into the western world. jackie chan jackie chan is one of the most well known martial artists in the film world and has been making films for your pleasure for over 20 years. from humble beginnings (his parents were so poor they offered to sell him to the midwife) he learnt his trade in the china drama academy working 19 hours a day on kung-fu and acrobatics, before helping with the washing up. here jackie earned the name 'double-boy' due to the amount of food the little tyke ate (he has said he didn't like to waste anything, and still never leaves anything on his plate). during this time, jackie had the name his master gave him, yuen lou, and worked with six other pupils in an opera called the seven little fortunes and they were known as such. jackie, sammo hung (yuen lung), yuen biao, and yuen wah (the seven pulis were all given names yuen ... by their master) worked on many films together including project A, dragons forever, wheels on meals and my lucky stars.
