...We are the Traditional Abenaki of Mazipskwik and Related Bands...
We established ourselves in 1995 after realizing that we did not want federal recognition from the BIA.
The reason for not wanting federal recognition was because we feel that the Abenaki people all know who we are, and we do not need the federal government to tell us if we are Abenaki or not. We know in our hearts that we are. Some people might say that if we had federal status, that would open up many doors for us, including, but not limited to large amounts of federal money. This may be true, but we feel that for well over 200 years now the federal government has done nothing but try to control us and along with that control comes control of monies given to federally recognized tribes. We want to be in control of ourselves. We have always been the ones to prove to them we are Native. We don't ask them to prove that they are not Native.
We consider ALL Abenaki people to be our Brothers And Sisters, this includes the many members that hold Abenaki cards from other bands from all over Turtle Island, this includes Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut and Canada, and other States in the US and Canada. We are all related and that is why we added "and Related Bands" to our name.

http://pieria.spark.net.gr//etimes/moussaka.htm
Moussaka - a traditional Greek Recipe Alexandra Tsakiridou “MOUSSAKA” is the shepherd’s pie of Greece. The succulent combination of fried aubergines, delicately spiced minced lamb and rich cheese sauce is irresistible and well worth the rather lengthy preparation. It is always popular at informal parties and can be prepared earlier in the day for final cooking and browning in the oven. This recipe is for 6 people. INGREDIENTS 700 gr. (1 ½ lb.) shoulder of lamb. (boneless weight) 700 gr. (1 ½ lb.) aubergines 175 gr. (6 oz.) onions 225 gr. (½ lb.) tomatoes 150 ml. (¼ pt.) olive oil 5 ml. (1 teaspoon) ground allspice 15 ml. (1 tablespoon) chopped parsley 425 ml. (¾ pt.) béchamel sauce Salt Freshly ground black pepper Coating 1 large egg large pinch grated nutmeg 75 gr. (3 oz.) Cheddar cheese Preparation 1) Wipe, top and tail, but do not peel the aubergines. Cut them into slices about 6 mm. (¼ in.) thick. Put into a colander with a light sprinkling of salt between the layers and leave to drain for ha lf an hour. 2) Peel and slice the onions; peel, de-seed and chop the tomatoes.

This page concerns the indult (legitimate) Traditional Latin Mass, often referred to as "Tridentine", according to Pope John Paul II's document Ecclesia Dei . The St. Anthony of Padua Chapter International Ecclesia Dei Association promotes its implementation in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

It is intended for studying the Latin Mass. Illustrated! A Guide to Reading Gregorian Chant Notation Weekly reflections by Father Cusick on the Sunday Gospels and the Catechism of the Catholic Church arranged according to the Calendar of the Sundays and Solemnities of the Roman Rite of Pope St. PiusV. Avoid Schismatic religions promoting the Latin Mass in rebellion against the Pope and the Hierarchy of the Church which Christ established (until such time as they are reunited with the Catholic Church, as we pray will happen).
There are severe problems in the Church today, as can be seen in the drop in religious vocations, falling Mass attendance, Extraordinary Ministers (so-called "Eucharistic Ministers") being used as ordinary ministers of the Eucharist, ugly churches, Catholics who think it's all right to vote for pro-abortion politicians, lack of respect for the Eucharist, graduates from Catholic schools who know nothing of the Catholic faith (or what's even worse, teachers in Catholic schools who don't know the Catholic faith), disregard for Magisterial teachings and the rubrics of the Mass, etc.

I have now been in the restaurant business for well over twenty five years, and started Porters English Restaurant in London's Covent Garden in 1979, with a clear aim, 'to provide reasonably priced real English food at honest prices'.
Still very true today, so do check out our Porters site, which demonstrates very clearly my long held belief that restaurants should display their prices straightforwardly, so that the customer can easily understand what he is going to be paying for when the bill arrives - instead of receiving a nasty surprise.
Fortunately, in the last twenty years, we have seen a sea-change in London, and one of the great strengths of the vibrant, modern restaurant scene in London is its incredible variety. It offers the finest modern French and Italian food, as well as a huge choice of Ethnic Restaurants, from the more common styles such as Indian, Thai or Chinese to the rarer Malaysian, Vietnamese or even Ethiopian and Afghani. London has them all, as well as every Continental cuisine imaginable.

Traditional Arts of Iran: Inlaid Work
A book by Amir Kabir Publications
1989, First Edition
By: Mohammad Sattari
Pages: 1-35
Word Count: 3272
Summary: Inlaid work is one of the valuable eastern or oriental arts. The oldest specimen obtained so far belongs to the Safavids period. Iran of today is the most important center of the inlaid work in the world. This book makes us familiar with the art of inlaid work. Text: Historical Record of Inlaid Work One of the valuable arts in the orient is inlaid work. Not much is known about the past history of inlaid work, because raw materials of inlaid work are mostly glue and wood which get destroyed with the passage of time. Nonetheless in those places which are regarded as sacred by people and which were maintained in good condition we come across specimens of inlaid work with antiquity of 200 to 300 years. The oldest specimen of inlaid work obtained so far belongs to Safavids period. This piece of craftsmanship is related to the tomb of Shah Nematollah Vali in Mahan, Kerman province. If we wish to get accurate and reliable information about the history of inlaid work, we must study the history of travels made to Iran by various tribes of the world, because some specimens of our valuable artistic masterpieces may have been plundered. Therefore, a little search in their museums may help us to achieve our purpose.

96. Hello From Korea - Traditional Korean Culture - Korean Foods - Kimchi And Pulgog
Two foods that people have come to identify with Korea are kimchi, a fermented vegetable dish, and pulgogi, a marinated meat dish. This site describes both in detail.
http://kangsel.x-y.net/korea/Culture_Foods.php3
Home Culture Sightseeing Holidays ... Traditional Dress Korean Foods - Kimchi and Pulgogi (1/3)
Two foods that people have come to identify with Korea are kimchi, a fermented vegetable dish, and pulgogi, a marinated meat dish. Whereas kimchi is a staple dish that is eaten at every meal, pulgogi is more like a party food in that it is generally eaten on special occasions and when dining out or entertaining guests. Koreans tend to favor beef when entertaining or eating out, and pulgogi is one of the most popular beef dishes and one that even non-Koreans find very tasty. The word pulgogi is commonly translated as Korean barbecue, though it literally means "fire meat" as pul is "fire" or gogi is "meat". Beef is most often identified with pulgogi, but even pork, chicken, lamb, squid and octopus, for example, can be cooked pulgogi style as pulgogi, like barbecue, is a method of cooking. For the most common beef pulgogi, thin slices of meat, usually tenderloin, are marinated in a sauce made of soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, sesame seeds and other seasonings, and then cooked over a charcoal grill, usually at the table. The grilled beef slices can be eaten as are or wrapped in a lettuce leaf along with slices of fresh garlic and green pepper and a dab of soybean paste, red pepper paste, or a mixture of the two, all of which are rich in vitamins, minerals and cancer-ighting substances. In some restaurants, pulgogi is cooked on a dome-shaped p'an that is placed over a charcoal brazier or a gas range. The p'an has a trough around the edge to catch the tasty juice that cooks out of the meat so that it can be eaten with one's rice. Pulgogi can also be cooked in a regular frying pan or on an electric skillet but most connoisseurs prefer the traditional charcoal fire. For pork and other types of pulgogi, a little red pepper paste is usually added to the marinade. This gives the pulgogi a spicy taste and aroma.
