JOHN AND NANCY TEAGUE
J ohn C. Teague, a Miller and Surveyor by trade was born, June 21st, 1786, in Laurens County, South Carolina. He was the oldest son of the several children that William Teague and his wife Elizabeth Miller had. He moved with his parents to Wilson County, Tennessee in 1806 and later to Hardeman County. He married Nancy, born 1784 in North Carolina, died in 1861 in Hardeman County. They are both buried in Clover Creek Cemetery . Source: Elizabeth Greer McMaster Editors note: Based on the fact that Nancy was not in the home at the time of the 1850 census , one might assume she had passed away prior to 1850 rather than the 1861 identified by Ms. McMaster. I would like to know the source documents used to validate Nancy's death.
As recently as 2/01 I found sources refrencing Elizabeth Greer McMaster and giving Nancy's maiden name as Nancy Gaston Burton (b: 1784 in North Carolina). For some time I and other researcher were not aware of Nancy's maiden name and should some one have that source information , I would like it as well. Marvin Schubert
They had nine children: (1) William Gaston Teague*, (1811-1884) married in 1831 Amelia Thomas (1811-1884), daughter of Zacchariah Thomas, (2)

Ostvarivši ekonomski uspjeh, a time i samosvijest, graðanstvo poèinje stvarati umjetnièke oblike prihvatljive vlastitim potrebama i svom naèinu življenja. Suvremeniji autori pak skraæuju to razdoblje èak do 1830/35., kada u najveæem dijelu Europe zapoèinje dominacija historicizma.

The site is not finished as you can tell because of adding new cemeteries each week. You can make you a plain text copy I have put them there for the people to see and use. I am still updating cemeteries and it is changing almost every week with added data and new parts to the cemeteries. Barbara Peck put this site on the net for Murray County a few weeks ago. I hope you enjoy the site. Thanks Kaye

90. TAYLOR, THOMAS

TAYLOR, THOMAS
TAYLOR, JOSEPH—TAYLOR, ROWLAND TAYLOR, JOSEPH (c. is86-c. 1653), English actor, is mentioned in the folio Shakespeare of 1623 as one of the twenty-six who took principal parts in all of these plays. There is a legend that he was trained by Shakespeare to play Hamlet, and that he succeeded Burbage in this and other parts. Certain it is that in many of Beaumont and Fletcher's plays he had a leading role, and he is one of the ten actors who signed the dedication of the first folio of these dramatists (1647). TAYLOR, NATHANIEL WILLIAM (1786-1858), American Congregational theologian, was born in New Milford, Connecticut, on the 23rd of June 1786, grandson of Nathaniel Taylor (1722-1800), pastor at New Milford. He graduated at Yale College in 1807, studied theology under Timothy Dwight, and in 1812 became pastor of the First Church of New Haven. From 1822 until his death in New Haven on the loth of March 1858 he was Dwight professor of didactic theology at Yale. He was the last notable representative of the New England School, in which his predecessors were the younger Edwards, John Smalley (1734-1820) and Nathaniel Emmons. In the Yale Divinity School his influence was powerful, and in 1833 one of his foremost opponents, Bennet Tyler (1783-1858), founded in East Windsor a Theological Institute to offset Taylor's teaching at Yale. Taylorism, sometimes called the " New Haven " theology, was an attempt to defend Calvinism from Arminian attacks, and the defence itself was accused of Arminianism and Pelagianism by A. A. Hodge of Princeton and Leonard Woods of Andover. Taylor's theology was distinctively infra-lapsarian; it disagreed with Samuel Hopkins and Emmons in rejecting the theory of " divine efficiency " and in arguing that man can choose the right " even if he won't " —distinguishing like Edwards between natural ability and moral inability; it distinguished sensibility or susceptibility as something different from will or understanding, without moral qualities, to which the appeal for right choice may be made; and it made self-love (a term borrowed from Dugald Stewart, connoting the innocent love of happiness and distinct from selfishness) the particular feeling appealed to by the influences of the law and gospel.

Biographical Sketches
Elizabeth Barrett Browning, 1806-1861
The eldest of twelve children, Elizabeth Barrett Moulton-Barrett was born in 1806 to Edward Moulton-Barrett and his wife in Durham, England. The family's considerable wealth came largely from a Jamaican sugar plantation and in 1908 the family acquired a 500-acre estate near the Malvern Hills. Elizabeth received an excellent education at home, studying Greek and Latin as well as modern languages, read widely, and participated in family theatrical productions. Though she lead a generally healthy childhood, the family doctor began prescribing opium for a nervous complaint around 1821; the death of her mother in 1828 seemed to aggravate that condition.
