Roman Dressler 316 Seiten ISBN: Ersch.

    Alan Alexander Milne (1882 - 1956) ~ Christopher Robin Milne (1920 – 1996)
Alan Alexander Milne was born in London on January 18, 1882. He was the third and youngest son of London schoolteachers, and to be the surprise of no one in the family, he could read when he was two. As a schoolboy he began to write verses, parodies, and shot humorous pieces for his school's paper. He went on to Cambridge, where he edited the undergraduate paper.
In 1903 he left school and went to London to write. At the end of a year he had spent all of his money and earned almost nothing. He continued writing. During the second year he earned considerably more and supported himself on his earnings. In 1906 he was offered a position at Punch magazine. He was an editor at Punch for the next eight years, during which time he wrote his first book; three collections of his contributions to the magazine were also published.

Alan Alexander Milne (1882 - 1956) Alan Alexander Milne was born January 18, 1882. He was the youngest of three sons to Sarah Marie and John Vine Milne. His father ran a school for young boys, Henley House, in which Alan, and his older brothers, David Barrett Milne and Kenneth John Milne grew up in.
Alan first started taking classes at Henley House, his father's school. Among his teachers there was one H. G. Wells, who would one day go on to be a famous author and a dear friend to Alan. From Henley House, he went to Westminster School, then decided to attend Cambridge on a mathematics scholarship. After he had finished with his schooling, he moved to London and begin a career as an author. Owen Seaman, 'Punch' editor, had introduced Alan to his god-daughter, Dorothy de Selincourt. They married in 1913, and on August 21, 1920, Christopher Robin Milne was born. A. A. Milne published book about Christopher Robin's nursery toys. It was entitled 'Winnie-the-Pooh'. :) After some time, with the publication of 'The House at Pooh Corner', Milne announced that it was the last Christopher Robin book he would write. The book sold even faster than 'Winnie-the-Pooh' had when it first came out.
