About Us Family tradition
Itwas in 1934 that Albert Marks, himself the son of a successful dealer in antiques, set up in business. He moved to Curzon Street nearly fifty years ago where he was steadily able to consolidate his growing reputation. Ownership eventually passed to his son Anthony Marks who carries on the firm's traditions, convinced that there is no substitute for excellent service, knowledgeable employees and a world-class stock. No mean expert himself, having grown up in the business and with a profound interest in the best goldsmiths' work, he has gathered around him a group of excellent advisers. In fact, Marks's collective knowledge in terms of years amounts to nearly two centuries! An International Presence
In addition to our original shop in Curzon Street, Marks is a frequent exhibitor at several international antiques fairs of standing. Anthony Marks and his colleagues may be found from time to time in New York, Hong Kong and Palm Beach. Our presence at London fairs is an important part of our business, too, with a good show of our stock at Grosvenor House, Olympia, and at the British Antique Dealers Association fair in Kensington. For the convenience of our many customers at home and abroad, we also have a permanent display at Harrods attended by our own knowledgeable staff.

There is a sound clip on this site. http://www.kididdles.com/shop2/mccutcheon.htm It is a great song for the end of the year programs. We read the poem and then the kids sing the song. The words to the song are below. I take out the 2nd verse since it doesn't really fit for Kindergarten. The song goes along with the poem "All I Ever Needed to Know I Learned in Kindergarten."
    Kindergarten Wall
Words and Music by John McCutcheon
When I was a little kid not so long ago
I had to learn a lot of stuff I didn't even know
How to dress myself, tie my shoes, how to jump a rope
How to smile for a picture without looking like a dope
But of all the things I learned my favorite of them all
Was a little poem hanging on the kindergarten wall
    CHORUS:
Of all you learn here remember this the best: Don't hurt each other and clean up your mess Take a nap everyday, wash before you eat

But soon this will be happening on the information superhighway. PGN] Drawn by invitations in the name of a fictitious market-research company, 31 ``elusive criminals'' responded in person to a drawing for a year's free use of telly facilities. After filling out questionnaires on their viewing habits, they were then arrested. ``Operation Trick or Treat'' turned out to be a Trick. (For you anagram freaks, the bogus company name, Mison Giewold, is an anagram of the name of Detective Constable Simon Weigold, the officer who organized the sting.)
