email Georgetown is located NE of Silver City. It was inhabited by 1860 or earlier. In 1888 Georgetown had over 1,200 people living in the immediate area. The crash in silver prices in 1893 caused the mines to close and the people to leave.
There are at least 43 graves that are unmarked in this cemetery. Many of them appear to be infant's or children's graves. Thank you Randy and Linda for the nice work in recording this cemetery.
