ECETOC is a chemicals industry association, primarily interesteed in ecotoxicology and toxicology of chemicals.
http://www.ecetoc.org/entry.htm
ECETOC is a chemicals industry association, providing a scientific forum through which specialist expertise is harnessed to research, review, assess and publish studies on the ecotoxicology and toxicology of chemicals
ECETOC (European Centre for Ecotoxicology and Toxicology of Chemicals) was established in 1978 and is a scientific, non-profit making, non-commercial association, financed by 50 of the leading companies with interests in the manufacture and use of chemicals. A stand-alone organisation, it was established to provide a scientific forum through which the extensive specialist expertise in the European chemical industry could be harnessed to research, review, assess and publish studies on the ecotoxicology and toxicology of chemicals.
The Association’s main objective is to identify, evaluate and through such knowledge help industry minimise, any potentially adverse effects on health and the environment that may arise from the manufacture and use of chemicals. To achieve this mission, ECETOC facilitates the networking of suitably qualified scientists from its member companies and co-operates in a scientific context with intergovernmental agencies, health authorities and professional institutions.

The American Board of Veterinary Toxicology (ABVT)
God Bless the USA
Who We Are
Board certified veterinary toxicologists are a vital link in human and animal health. Veterinary toxicology ranges from biotoxins (natural chemicals produced by plants, animals, bacteria, fungi, and phytoplankton) to the toxic effects of pharmaceuticals, feed additives, radiation, and environmental agents on animals and humans.
What We Do
The American Board of Veterinary Toxicology is a group of specially trained veterinarians that strive to inform and educate the public, private practice veterinarians and veterinary medical students about toxicologic hazards to pets, livestock and wildlife.

Cardiovascular toxicity of non-cardiovascular drugs, anti-cancer chemotherapy, and gene therapy Cardiovascular Toxicology is the first journal dedicated to publishing contemporary issues, timely reviews, and experimental and clinical data on the molecular therapy of cardiovascular disease. CT will publish papers that will elucidate the effects of environmental toxicants, molecular mechanisms and signal pathways. Also covered are the detrimental effects of new cardiovascular drugs, including non-cardiovascular drugs, anti-cancer chemotherapy, and gene therapy. Cardiovascular Toxicology will be the first biomedical journal that reports safety and toxicological data on new cardiovascular and non-cardiovascular drugs - a unique journal in which these data can be scrutinized separately from efficacy. CLINICAL TOXICOLOGY REVIEW
Clinical Toxicology Review is published monthly by the Massachusetts Poison Control System Vol. 18, No. 8 May 1996
PODOPHYLLIN
Podophyllin is a resin mixture obtained from the dried rhizome and roots of the common plants Podophyllin peltatum (Mayapple or Mandrake) and Podophyllin emodi , which are grown in North America and the Himalayas, respectively. Early American colonists learned of podophyllin from Native Americans who believed the drug to be an effective antidote when applied to snake bites. Since that time podophyllin also has been used as a poison, a cathartic (Carter's Pills), an antithelminthic, and a local antifungal. Interest in podophyllin was renewed in 1942 when Kaplan introduced the use of topical podophyllin in the management of condyloma acuminatum. Today, podophyllin continues to be used worldwide as the first-line treatment for condyloma acuminatum in spite of numerous reports indicating that more efficacious and less toxic therapies exist. Podophyllin also continues to be found in certain cathartic herbal preparations.
