    • Unlike books or traditional multimedia programs, it allows interactive exploration of a detailed three-dimensional anatomical model. Each structure is labeled and described, and can thus be interrogated directly on the screen. The advantages of dealing with real anatomy are thus combined with the advantages of learning from a book (associated knowledge).
    • Unlike traditional sources of knowledge, VOXEL-MAN 3D-Navigator presents the radiological manifestation of normal anatomy in the context of three-dimensional anatomy. It thus decisively improves the understanding of both X-ray and cross-sectional radiological images.

Welcome! Bob Hurwitz, M.D. has 24 years of experience in diagnostic radiology. He has dedicated his career to patient care, teaching and research. He is competent in all aspects of radiology. During these years, he has found the additional task of serving as expert witness to be fundamental in becoming a better radiologist. Dr. Hurwitz is careful to maintain a careful ratio of 50/50 as witness for defense/plaintiff. This promotes objectivity and proves helpful to all parties. He is the first to recommend someone else who might have a better command of a specific narrow field within radiology. Bob Hurwitz, M.D. has served as expert in cases from coast to coast, from Florida to California. He is now on the faculty of both the University of California, San Diego and the University of California, Irvine. The greatest compliment he has ever been paid was when opposing counsel then called him six months later to serve as expert witness on a different case! Hosted By

What is Upper Gastrointestinal (GI) Tract Radiography?
Also called an upper GI series or simply an upper GI , Upper Gastrointestinal Tract Radiography is an x-ray examination of the esophagus, stomach and first part of the small intestine. However, in order for the anatomy to show up on radiographic images, the upper gastrointestinal tract must be coated or filled with a contrast material called barium, an element that appears bright white on radiographs. The barium is given to the patient to drink. For this reason, Upper Gastrointestinal Tract Radiography also is called a barium-swallow x-ray . Additionally, some patients are asked to swallow baking-soda crystals to create gas and further improve the images; this procedure has the modified name of
