Here are some examples: 
 - Students in an applied anthropology seminar conduct research each year for local government and service organizations dealing with community needs such as local transportation services, political participation, recycling, and off-campus housing. 
 A sociology professor provides technical assistance to a nonprofit assistance center at SEDA-COG.  A sociology professor is involved with the Forum for the Future regional youth leadership project.
