OSU Professional Education Unit Core Concepts and Goals Statement
Oklahoma State University's professional education faculty seek to prepare individuals who believe everyone deserves the opportunity to learn and can learn; who act on the principle that diversity is to be valued; and who are committed to the belief that professional educators providing quality education are the backbone of society. OSU's professional education programs are devoted to the concept of integration. Professional education students learn to integrate personal experience with fields of knowledge and with teaching based on sound theory and research-driven educational practice. Students' attainment of unit and program goals is assisted and assessed in schools and communities in which continuous professional development for pre-service candidates, in-service school professionals, and university faculty is valued. http://www.lawtonpdc.org/vidcons/guideln.html
Guidelines
  • Any Oklahoma school may join the Oklahoma School Video Consortium (OSVC).
  • Membership is on an annual subscription basis and the license fee is determined by the average daily membership of the district. All schools in the district gain membership when the district joins. The license fee for the 2000-2001 school year is
    • $200.00 per year for districts with 100 or less ADM
    • $300. 00 per year for districts with 101 to 1,500 ADM
    • $450.00 per year for districts with 1,501 to 4,000 ADM
    • $600.00 per year for districts with over 4,000 ADM
  • With membership the district obtains full duplication and retention rights for most titles held by the Consortium. If membership is not paid in full by January 2002, rights are terminated, the district forfeits membership, and all tapes in the inventory must be erased.
  • The district shall decide which of the titles they wish for their use. There are four possible methods for obtaining copies of Consortium tapes:
  • Off-air taping when adopted titles are broadcast by OETA. This is the easiest and least expensive method. Members will be sent a broadcast schedule when titles and dates are determined.
