With the assistance of the Ohio Library Council (OLC), the staff presented a series of six workshops to publicize the project. The project team updated the project web site to make more information about Ohio Memory available and encourage participation. They conducted usability testing of the web interface to refine and finalize the design of the site, making sure that it meets the needs of its users. In addition, staff worked closely with OhioLINK in developing the online scrapbook. Continuing Committment to Quality
The Leadership Council demonstrates its commitment to supporting and encouraging new ideas and interventions to improve outcomes and decrease costs through the Internal Small Grants Program. The grants program is funded annually based on the savings realized the previous year. The maximum amount allocated per project is $10,000, however, exceptions to this dollar amount are made based on potential impact to the institution. Projects considered for funding are those that would implement improvements in patient care outcomes, patient satisfaction, and reductions in the cost of care. Requests are evaluated by the Internal Small Grants Committee, which prioritizes funding requests and recommends allocation of funds based on benefits to the institution as a whole. The committee is chaired by the medical director and is complemented by representatives from medical, nursing, and hospital administration as well as healthcare researchers from marketing, managed care, and health policy departments.
