Legend. - This newsgroup was created by me on October 27, 1993, following my proposal early in September of a fetish newsgroup, originally named alt.sex.fetish.fashion , and later discussion in alt.config where I got nothing but support for the idea (and lots of it). Following a stray suggestion, I first created the group with the name alt.sex.fetish.dfp (dressing for pleasure), but then I got a dozen messages telling me that acronym group names was a Really Bad Idea. I then issued a rmgroup message for alt.sex.fetish.dfp and a new newgroup message for alt.sex.fetish.fashion
