1. Introduction
Interpreted Languages have become more and more popular. In recent years, interpreted language such as Java, Tcl/Tk and Perl are the hot topics and wide-spread. Why? Generally, it is because they are portable, easy to use, fast to develop and safe. And most interpreted languages are closely related to Web programming. In this paper, we will do some study to expose the nature of interpreted programming languages and how these features of interpreted languages are achieved.

SERBO-CROATIAN AND SOUTH SLAVIC LANGUAGES
The South Slavic languagesSerbo-Croatian, Slovene, Bulgarian, and Macedoniandescend from Slavic dialects that were brought to the sub-Alpine and Balkan regions of southwestern Europe ca. 500 C.E. by waves of westward migration along and across the Danube, Drava, and Sava River systems. In their new territory, the South Slavs encountered and undoubtedly mixed with Latin-speaking peoples, probably descendants of older Indo-European-speaking peoples, such as Illyrian and Thracian.
The exact relationships among the dialects at the time of settlement is uncertain, but we do know that there existed at that time no nascent Slovene, Serbo-Croatian, Macedonian, or Bulgarian dialects. Rather, these formed over the subsequent millennium. The South Slavic group may now be defined by its geographical discontinuity to the remainder of the Slavic-speaking world. To the north, Slovene is bounded by Friulian and Italian in Italy, by German in Austria, and Hungarian in Hungary. Croatian and Serbian are also bounded by Hungarian as well as Romanian (Romania). Bulgarian is bounded by Romanian, and each is separated from Ukrainian by the Black Sea.
Serbo-Croatian
Serbo-Croatian is spoken by approximately 16 million people. It is the state language of the Republic of Croatia (where it is called Croatian

General article by Leigh Fenly that speaks also specifically about the Karuk.

Finding ways to preserve California's Indian languages Slip of the Tongue Leigh Fenly
Staff Writer 23-Nov-1994 Wednesday One summer when the blackberries were ripe, a hot, dry wind moved through
the Karuk Indian village where Violet Super lived. Flames ignited the
nearby hillsides and, driven by the wind, moved rapidly toward her house. "Then this old medicine man came up the dirt road with a wet, burlap sack,"
Super recalls. "And he stood at our house talking in Karuk, saying these
words and hitting the ground with that burlap sack. And the fire went out
all around us, like buckets of water had poured from the sky." That was 60 years ago when there were Karuk words for killing fire. Now
those words are gone, long forgotten. Super, now 76, still lives in the Klamath River settlement near the Oregon
border. She is one of a dozen remaining Karuk Indians who know the
language. But most of the miracle-making words of the medicine men,
reserved for the few, disappeared decades ago. California has always been one of the most linguistically diverse regions in the world. In the 1800s, more than 100 native languages were spoken

fax: 313-577-6243 In order to prepare students of the 1990s for success in today's and tomorrow's global economy, Wayne State University's Department of Romance Languages and Literatures offers training in three vital foreign languages: French, Italian, and Spanish. Supported by one of the best and most advanced language laboratory facilities in the country, the Department's undergraduate programs emphasize multi-media assisted, proficiency-oriented language instruction and multicultural understanding.
The Wayne State student with a special interest in languages can select from a full complement of offerings leading to undergraduate degrees. Majors in languages work in many occupations: teaching, business, multi-media and computer technology, art, government service, academic administration, health-care fields. Employers are increasingly interested in prospective employees who can display a range of interests and activities thanks to their undergraduate training. Hence, courses in language skills (e.g. FRE 2100, 2110, 4100, 5100, 5200, 5400, ITA 3100, SPA 2030, 3100, 3200, 5300) are complemented by the different courses in national cultures (e.g. FRE 6450, 6470, SPA 5550, 5560). Furthermore, the wide area of courses in Romance literatures and in contemporary critical theory provide a strong basis for advanced studies at the graduate level.
Whatever your needs of goals, you can help fulfill them by taking courses in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at Wayne State University. For further information on programs and courses, contact

General Characteristics
The spoken Slavic tongues resemble one another more closely than do those of the Germanic and Romance groups; yet, although Slavic languages have much in common in basic vocabulary, grammar, and phonetic characteristics, they differ with regard to such features in many instances. One feature common to most of them is the relatively large number of consonant sounds. A striking instance showing divided usage is the varied position of the primary accent in the individual Slavic languages. For example, in Czech the stress falls on the initial syllable of a word and in Polish on the next-to-last syllable, whereas in Russian and Bulgarian the accent can fall on any syllable.
Grammar
Grammatically the Slavic languages, with the exception of Bulgarian and Macedonian, have a highly developed inflection of the noun, with up to seven cases (nominative, genitive, dative, accusative, locative, instrumental, and vocative). The Slavic verb usually takes one of three simple tenses (past, present, and future), but it is further characterized by a complex feature called aspect, which can be either imperfective (showing continuous or repeated action) or perfective (denoting a completed action). Participles and gerunds are often employed where in English clauses would be used. The article is lacking in all Slavic languages except Bulgarian and Macedonian. Members of the Slavic subfamily are more conservative and thus closer to Proto-Indo-European than languages in the Germanic and Romance groups, as is witnessed by their preservation of seven of the eight cases for the noun that Proto-Indo-European possessed and by their continuation of aspects for the verb.
