Printer friendly page Pained to see the holy Ganges choking with pollutants at one of the most sacred sites for Hindus, religious leaders threatened to break tradition and skip a ritual dip in the river's filthy and acrid waters. Lucknow, Feb 1 (IANS) - Red-faced and panicky, the authorities in the holy Uttar Pradesh city of Allahabad begged with them not to boycott the dip in the Sangam the confluence of the Ganges, the Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati to mark Mauni Amavasya (new moon night) during the annual Magh Mela Saturday. The angry religious leaders, led by two pontiffs of the Hindu faith, have relented somewhat, consenting to sprinkle water from the Sangam but still refusing to wade into the polluted confluence. The Shankaracharyas (pontiffs) agreed as they did not wish to break the age-old tradition ," an aide of Swami Swaroopanand, the Shankaracharya of Dwarka, told IANS on the phone from Allahabad Saturday.

The US Senate Admitted Being Aware Of Corruption
The 30 January 1974 US Senate Subcommittee response acknowledged serious conclusions re: corruption in the nation's markets (Isaiah 10:13-14; See Scam 2 ).   However, thereafter those conclusions elicited dead silence from the US Government thereafter but rather violent responses from International Organized Crime and their agents within Government.           Nixon-Agnew apparently tried to use the conclusions for personal gain ... perhaps blackmailing I.O.C.'s leaders.   So, Agnew got the ax and the organization "Watergated" Nixon.           Henry "Scoop" Jackson, the US Senate subcommittee Chairman, died of a heart attack, probably brought on by a little cyanide complements of the FBI, a chief protector of I.O.C.'s operations ( See Scam 1 and your wallet for obvious evidence).

page views since July 7, 2001 Here's another piece of useless Cloth Monkey information for you. If you live in Washington or New York, you constantly run across cars bearing diplomatic license plates. (If you have any sense at all, stay as far away from them as possible they drive like maniacs and aren't accountable under US law for any accidents they cause.) The State Department has coded the plates so that they can tell what country the plates are issued to, but they have been close-mouthed about releasing the codes. A bootleg copy has been floating around for a few years, and here it is for your edification. The only inside story I know about these codes is that when they were updated during the first years of the Reagan administration, State Department honcho Dana Rohrbacher (who is now a congressman) decided to use "FC" for the Soviet Union; FC standing for "Fuck Communism." Looks like we did. This list is a little out of date things happened pretty quickly around the end of the 80s, and some new places (most of the old Soviet Union, the little pieces of Yugoslavia, etc.) aren't in here. But then, how often would you ever see one of their cars? Most of these places are operating their embassies out of a suite at HoJo's. Additional handy-dandy note: the layout of the plates in DC is either a D (diplomat) or S (staff), followed by the country code, followed by a three-digit number (for example, S FC 001). In New York, it's the other way around (001 FC S). The reason for this is that some countries are limited to a fifty-mile radius from their embassy or consulate, so the authorities have to be able to tell the two cities apart.

Reconfirming that the next reunion of the bilateral Commission of 18 May is the center in which such engagements will be more exactely defined, Vatican Radio can however assure right now that the moving of the short waves broadcasting from one antenna to another of the same Center will be activated within 20 May to continuation of the verifications completed in the combined measurements, and that in the reunion of the 18 it will also be defined the date of the begining of the new medium -waves broadcasting plan. In such a way, the residual overcomings of limits are however of reduced entity and much limited time , such not to involve sanitary risks.

On May 13, 1917, Pacelli was consecrated titular archbishop of Sardes and appointed nuncio to Bavaria. He became nuncio to Germany in June 1920 and signed the concordats with Bavaria in 1924 and Prussia in 1929. Pacelli was made a cardinal in 1929, and a year later he was appointed secretary of state. POLICY AND MEASURES AIMED AT THE ABOLITION OF THE CAO DAI RELIGION BY THE GOVERNMENT OF THE SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM CAO DAI is the third largest religion in Viet Nam, behind Buddhism and Catholicism. It had an estimate of 2 million followers before 1975, but since then, due to the persecution and control of the religion by the government of Viet Nam, there is no official estimate nor statistics on the update number. For the last 23 years, 1975 to date, the government of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam (SRV) has continuously violated religious freedom as proclaimed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of the United Nations. Although freedom of religion is inscribed in the 1992 Constitution of the SRV (Chapter V, Article 70), the government has, in actuality, resorted to both legal manipulation and violence to deprive the CAO DAI adepts of the freedom to practice their religion. The following is a summary report on the condition of the CAO DAI religion since 1975, when the Communists took over South Viet Nam. I - Foundation and structure of CAO DAI In order to understand how the government of the SRV violates the religious rights of the CAO DAI adepts by controlling and interfering in the internal affairs of the religion, one must know first the basis philosophy and doctrine of CAO DAI.

    Washington, D.C.
    November 13, 2002

A s we Catholic Bishops meet here in Washington, our nation, Iraq and the world face grave choices about war and peace, about pursuing justice and security. These are not only military and political choices, but also moral ones because they involve matters of life and death. Traditional Christian teaching offers ethical principles and moral criteria that should guide these critical choices.
Two months ago, Bishop Wilton Gregory, President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, wrote President George Bush to welcome efforts to focus the world's attention on Iraq's refusal to comply with several United Nations resolutions over the past eleven years, and its pursuit of weapons of mass destruction. This letter, which was authorized by the U.S. Bishops' Administrative Committee, raised serious questions about the moral legitimacy of any preemptive, unilateral use of military force to overthrow the government of Iraq. As a body, we make our own the questions and concerns raised in Bishop Gregory's letter, taking into account developments since then, especially the unanimous action of the U.N. Security Council on November 8th.
We have no illusions about the behavior or intentions of the Iraqi government. The Iraqi leadership must cease its internal repression, end its threats to its neighbors, stop any support for terrorism, abandon its efforts to develop weapons of mass destruction, and destroy all such existing weapons. We welcome the fact that the United States has worked to gain new action by the UN Security Council to ensure that Iraq meets its obligation to disarm. We join others in urging Iraq to comply fully with this latest Security Council resolution. We fervently pray that all involved will act to ensure that this UN action will not simply be a prelude to war but a way to avoid it.
