Fishing Regulations The Division of Aquatic Resources establishes fishing regulations through Hawai'i Revised Statutes (laws) promulgated by the Hawai'i State Legislature and Hawai'i Administrative Rules promulgated by the Department of Land and Natural Resources. Statutes and rules sometimes overlap, because rules often implement mandates of the statutes. In other cases there is no overlap. Therefore, one needs to be familiar with both. Official copies of the rules are available for viewing in State public libraries and from DAR and DOCARE offices statewide. The statutes are available for viewing at State public libraries. DAR publications are available from DAR offices statewide. Hawai'i Fishing Regulations - a booklet updated yearly that summarizes the regulations for the fishing public. Now available!!! Hawai'i Administrative Rules - unofficial copies of the Administrative Rules relating to fishing and conservation of aquatic organisms and habitats throughout the State of Hawai'i. Formatted as PDF documents. Compendium of Hawai'i Fishing Laws - unofficial text of the Hawai'i Revised Statutes relating to fishing and other aquatic activities and resources. In PDF format. April 4-10, 2003 Proposed Federal Manatee Zones Could Drastically Change Florida Angling
Anglers could be delayed by up to 3 1/2 hours, permanently, in round trips on the Caloosahatchee River at Fort Myers under proposed federal manatee zones, according to reports from a Lee County environmental staffer and a separate study from an engineer for the marine industry. The long additional putt-putt time would be caused by requirements that boats remain off-plane in three segments of the waterway from a point some four miles east of downtown south to the Sanibel Causeway. Still another half-hour, and more, in slow zones would be involved in "buffer" areas next to 25-mph corridors in parts of the zones. Justin McBride of Lee County and engineer Pat Riley conducted the studies, which vary according to which existing regulations are considered. The Save the Manatee Club, which is continuing to sue state and federal authorities to seek more slow zones, estimates that the Fort Myers zones would add 50 minutes in roundtrip travel time, but its figures appear to be based on shorter segments.

Tennessee Fishing Tennessee offers fishermen a wealth of water and a variety of fish. Twenty-eight major reservoirs, l9,000 miles of warm- and cold-water streams plus thousands of smaller lakes and ponds provide unlimited fishing opportunities year-round. And there are all kinds of fish to suit all kinds of fishermen: largemouth, smallmouth, spotted and white bass; striped bass, striped bass/white bass hybrids; walleye, crappie, bluegill, catfish; sauger, saugeye, musky, northern pike; plus rainbow, brook, brown and lake trout. Fishing Regulations
Generally fishing is open year-round in the Volunteer State. A few selected areas, however, are closed during part of the year. Specific regulations are described in the annual Tennessee Fishing Regulations , published each March by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. Read it carefully for full details. Best Time To Fish
Anytime you can! Even though Tennessee's fishing is excellent year-round, it is best in the spring and fall. In fact fall fishing is the most undiscovered bonanza we have. Water and weather conditions are almost always favorable in September, October and early November.

Welcome to the Fly Fish North Carolina web site. If you need help navigating the site, please click here or on the site map link in the upper right hand corner. This site offers information on the hatch patterns you should use this month, trout streams in the North Carolina mountains, North Carolina fishing regulations , and the species of trout that live in our state. The High Country area of North Carolina (considered by local fishermen to be much of North Carolina's section of the Blue Ridge Parkway, Avery, and Watagua counties) boast the best trout waters in the state. In most streams you can sink your hook into Rainbow and Brown trout. Brook trout are primarily caught in the higher elevations where the streams are a bit more pristine. But beware, these fish require a bit more patience and skill because Brook Trout are often spooked or scared easily. The North Carolina mountains have an abundance of streams for you to fly fish. The streams listed here are just a few of the more popular streams in North Carolina for you to sink your line. Many of these streams are easily accessible and will allow even the most novice of fisherman to catch their limit of trout, while others require a great deal of patience, skill, and determination.
