2001, Here I Come posted by neema on 12/31/00 @ 4:55 PM I´m not sure which is bigger news: that I changed the layout of the page so that it would load quicker, or that I leave for Bangkok tomorrow. So I changed the layout (you´ll notice that the ¨recents¨ are still there, just at the way bottom. I did this because browsers have to render the entire table before displaying it so I did away with the whole table and now you can read the first entry while the rest of the page loads up. I know, I know, I should have it split up, but I don´t have time to do that right now (all links would be broken on ¨Recents¨) but I will do it this summer. So yes, I leave tomorrow at 3PM and I am so damn excited. I am heading north right away, not even really staying in Bangkok at all (at least in the beginning). I´m going north by bus and shared cars, stopping along the way, until I get to Chiang Mai, where then I´ll have a four day or six day trek up in the hills to visit a hill tribe up there. I´m fucking psyched! Then I am going to take a plane to Bangkok, go to volunteer, which ends on the 24th, then go to the far south of Thailand, cross the Malaysian border, come back into Thailand, get my visa extended, and scuba dive and explore the beaches and islands for a couple of weeks. Then it´s off to India. I am having the time of my life!!! Tonight I´m not sure what´s going on but I think I´m going to take it easy (the only person in Madrid).
