Most hotels have become all-inclusive and as a result the people staying there only get to see other tourists. The hotels tell the tourists that it is not safe to go outside the hotel complex at night and only with tours in the day time. THIS IS NOT SO!!! MY EXPERIENCE IN MY DOMINICAN CULTURE Although I was born in Brooklyn, New York I still feel as if I am more Domincan than I am American. My feeling toward this, is probably because I have been around Dominicans most of my life. The first thing I want to talk about is how the Dominican's greet you when you arrive at the airport in Dominican Republic. I think that our greeting is a very unique one, because we greet by giving every adult a small amount of Dominican Republic's best liquor. This liquor is a generation to generation rum called "BRUGAL" or maybe they will give "BARCELON." The Picture at the bottom is the "FARO de COLON" Some of the sites we have is the "FARO de COLON" . This site is mostly about Christopher Columbus it has all of his voyages all in different rooms. It also has alot of other different things to see and learn about. This place is a very interesting site to visit, especially if you need to learn about an interesting culture. This site is so beautiful at night it lights up a big cross in the sky, it could be seen only in some parts of the Dominican Republic. For instance, you could see it in the Dominican Republic's capital Santo Domingo. It looks so beautiful and interesting. The Picture at the bottom is "CASA de CAMPO" Another beautiful site is "CASA de CAMPO" , this site is located, in the "Romana". In this site there are little houses that are rented to the tourists. Here in this beautiful tourists place alot of famous people go to visit or even get married. For instance "Michael Jackson" came to this place to get married with "Lisa Marie Presley". This must of had been the nicest wedding. This site has everything you want to do during your summer vacation or anytime you want to go visit the Dominican Republic. One of the best things I liked about this site was seeing the people go horse back riding and all of the other different things you could think of doing on a summer vacation or on any vacation you might take in this site.
