Britain in Bloom – Winners!!!

Already winners of the 2002 Heart of England floral title, Bridgnorth has now beaten off the cream of Britain’s towns in bloom to win the national title. Judges described Bridgnorth as ‘a little gem of a town’
why not come and see for yourselves
Covering some 245 square miles and with a population of just over 52,000, Bridgnorth District is home to four towns. Bridgnorth itself with the largest population and the main administrative centre, Much Wenlock on the west side, Broseley to the north and east, across the river, the market town of Shifnal. The River Severn flows from north to south and has seen the growth of Bridgnorth from an ancient strategic crossing place to a thriving commercial river port to finally the busy market town that it is today. How about sampling our local Attractions? The Severn Valley Railway or the Aircraft and Missile Museum at RAF Cosford will give you plenty to do. Or if you prefer something a little smaller, then historic Daniel’s Mill or Rays Farm with its owls, wildlife and woodland walks could be made for you. The beautiful ruins of Wenlock Priory lie in the heart of the small market town of Much Wenlock . The site has a colourful history dating back to its founding in 680AD when St Milburge became abbess and brought Wenlock fame through the miracles she performed. Today visitors can enjoy the tranquil ruins of the later Norman Priory.

Welcome to jaytierney.com! For years I was always changing my e-mail address for a variety of reasons, such as switching Internet Service Providers or selling off one of my web sites. So I figured I'd get jaytierney.com for the sole purpose of having a consistant e-mail address, because I have no intention of changing my name any time soon. Finance Butler - My friend Christopher Kern and I came up with name during the summer of 2002 and by January 2003 we went corporate ( Finance Butler, Inc. ). Our slogan is "Serving Your Financial Needs" and this is precisely the long-term goal of our company. Currently we connect consumers with mortgage brokers or lenders, but we'll be expanding into the insurance and investing fields relatively soon. Moovees.com - This is my web site for which I write movie reviews, previews, and other film-related news articles. I first bought the moovees.com domain back in 1998. Shortly after, some friends suggested a cow theme to make the MOOvees name memorable, and I've been grading films on and off with bottles of milk ever since. Click here to see a list of my reviews.

City of Berkeley at bat for Kids: Ecology Center 1, Kids
The Ecology Center opposes any building of a baseball field and is against any option that closes Derby Street because it feels it would threaten the viablity of the Farmer's Market and that the District should devote more space to community and school garden efforts at the site. In addition to running the Derby St. market, which runs on Tuesdays only in summer, the Ecology Center also operates a Saturday market on Center Street. Here's how the City Council voted: AGAINST study of the BUSD/Friends of Derby Street proposal: Shirek, Spring, Maio, Wooley, Breland, Worthington abstained, Armstrong absent. Shirek was very vocal against it, stating she believed that if built the "hardball field will be rented out to adults." Maio said she changed her mind and voted against it because "not all our kids play baseball." Only Mayor Dean and Betty Olds voted for the BUSD proposal. If you feel the six members who voted against the BUSD option of building a baseball field are wrong, then express your opinions and offer support to the school and Friends of Derby Street.
