5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect for preschool party goody bags!
I planned a circus-themed birthday party for my 4 yr-old twins and this little booklet of circus stickers was perfect for the take-home goody bags. The booklets are small enough to fit into the bags (roughly 4 in. by 6 in.) and contain a nice variety of colorful animals as different circus characters (ringmaster, clowns, band, etc.).They were a big hit with the party guests! ... Product Description
Illus. in full color. Children will be cheered just contemplating the outrageous array of troubles they're lucky they don't have. Amazon.com Review
"When I was quite young and quite small for my size, I met anold man in the Desert of Drize." The old man looks like a crossbetween a cartoon granddad and a swami; he sits on top of a cactus, and tells his young listener that the best way to get over any sadnessis to imagine all the ways you could be worse off. "Suppose, justsuppose, you were poor Herbie Hart, who has taken hisThrom-dim-bu-lator apart!"This has a more hurried, formulaic feelthan the best Seuss, and it seems to showcase a less acute grasp ofchild psychology than usual. (Does it really make a child feel betterto think of poor Harry Haddow, who, "try as he will, can't make ashadow," or Gucky Gown, "who lives by himself ninety miles out oftown"?) But the illustrations alone make this morality tale a minorclassic. (Ages 4 to 8) --Richard Farr ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Count your blessings that you're not one of THESE guys!
Somehow, I got to be an adult without ever reading this book.I think it would have helped me get through high school.Ha!Any way, find inner tranquility by imagining the worst that could happen!

You think you have troubles?Look at other people and what they have to go through before you come complaining to the old wise man in the desert. The made up comparison cases are a stitch.

Puts your kid's problems into FUNNY perspective.Fun book.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Baby Shower Gift
When asked what's his favorite childhood book, Daddy said Dr. Seuss' "Did I Ever Tell You..."So the organizers of baby's shower set a copy of the book out so guests could write a message to baby within its pictures. Now baby has personal messages as well as a fun & funny Seuss book!As an early childhood educator, I appreciate how the rhymes promote literacy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wow, I really do feel lucky!
Did I Ever Tell You How Lucky You Are? (Classic Seuss) is a book by Dr. Seuss about a kid who encounters a strange man who shows him how lucky he really is by singing a song about unlucky people, which may sound pessimistic, but is actually the opposite!

I think Dr. Seuss did a good job writing this book; some of the clever lines and silly illustrations literally made me laugh out loud! Its tongue-tickling rhymes also make it a fun book to read aloud, especially to children.I'd definitely call it a "feel-good" book because at the end, you really do appreciate how lucky you are!

5-0 out of 5 stars My Review of Did I Ever Tell You How Special You Are?
