retro for me
if not just to look at the development of the corporate identity ofvarious well known companies (and some that haven't changed!) then yousurely need this book just for your retro-fixation... i know i did anyway.

Fascinating and beautiful book of trademark art
In this age of computerized clip-art, the works housed in this collection may not be as impressive - or perhaps surprising - as they were at its 1988publication.Still, the beauty of these trademarks and the cleverness oftheir design are both a pleasure to view and and a source of inspiration.By pulling these logos out of their sublimated context and displaying themfront and center, they turn into works of art.

Baker and Blik havegathered together a wide range of logos, including some very familiar (ThePep Boys, Zig-Zag, Elsie the Cow), and many more hopelessly obscure - butno less fascinating. And by organizing around themes, the reader can getsome ideas as to how themeatic elements came and went with the years.

He was elected on May 13, 2008, as a 19-year old freshman at the University of Oklahoma, after winning 70% of the vote in a runoff election against 70-year-old, three-time former Muskogee mayor Herschel McBride. Hammons was handily reelected as Mayor on April 6, 2010, in a four way race. First elected at the age of 19, Hammons is among the youngest mayors in United States history. Hammons is a fourth generation Oklahoman and a member of the Cherokee Nation. Born and raised in Muskogee, Oklahoma, he attended public schools and graduated from Muskogee High School in the Class of 2007. Before beginning his senior year, Hammons was a delegate to the Oklahoma Boys State where he would campaign to serve as Governor of Boys State. During his senior year, Hammons was MHS student body president and was president of both MHS Young Republicans and MHS Young Democrats. After graduating, Hammons attended the University of Oklahoma for his freshman year of college. While there, he selected to major in political science and public administration.
