Good book . . . if memory serves
I really enjoyed this book when I was younger.It's been years since it was lost, but it left such an impression on my memory that I'm back to look for it.It introduces Lam Lao, a cynical smuggler who gets mixed up with a fight that is not his own.(Sound like anyone else you know?)

Actually, the thing I remember liking about this book is that it's a little more realistic than a lot of other 'Christian' fiction.It doesn't resort to /deus ex machina/ to solve every problem.(Granted, it has a measure of that.)It actually lets the good guys suffer--and wrestle with that suffering.(Robin Hardy's _Annals of Lystra_ series is similar in that respect.)Of course, I was only a kid (albeit a precocious one) when I read it, so I'm sure I'll find it a little more predictable as an adult.Even so, I plan to buy a copy and read it again.

Captive Planet is a great book.Gregory Smith did a great job writing a Christian book.He managed to combine Christianity and Science Fiction to make a great book.Usually, you don't think that it is possible to dothat.It is also a great story about salvation and acceptance know mattarwhat you did in the past.It is a great science fiction book also.Youwant to know what happens and if Lam Lao and his friends survive and how. ...
