A Spring Awakening Junkie Must Have
This book contains so many interesting tid bits and facts that any SA Junkie would love.There are quotes from cast members, directors, and designers.The pictures of the set, costumes, actors, script, and real 1800s are amazing and insightful.The book looks into the story, characters, and making of SA, as well as including the entire libretto. It isn't worth all the money if you don't love Spring Awakening, but if you do... you better own it.It is really interesting and I read it cover to cover three times the first week I got it.

Brilliant!
I'm a complete fan of this show, but I can't see the tour and didn't get a chance to see it on Broadway, so this book is the next best thing. I love it, and I've read it over and over again. It gives great information about how this epic show came to be, and about how it changed everyone working on it. It helps you understand the characters more deeply than you thought you could and it really makes you THINK about what it must have been like for these kids living in 1891. The script was a nice bonus, too, and the pictures are gorgeous. I highly recommend it. :)

Everything possible about Spring Awakening
This book is amazing. All informations, facts, ideas, photos, pictuers, sketches, a full complete commented libretto. And designed magnificently, high levelprint. Truly amazing.

All that I asked for and more...
In the Flesh is an amazing compilation of the entire show and all that went into making Spring Awakening the dynamic show that it is.I expected to see information on the songs and the show, as seen on Broadway, but I surprised and excited to see that In the Flesh also contained information about how the show began, with informal meetings between Stephen Sater and Duncan Sheik, and eventally Michael Mayer.My favorite part of the book has to be the musical written its entirity as seen on Broadway.Wonderful and a must-bye for all fanatics!

Spring Awakening's companion book was a complete and fulfilling book that encompassed the show's long history and the promise of this revolutionary musical's future. This edgy story begs people to hear it's soulful voice. I enjoyed the numerous interviews with the cast and creative team. I appreciated that we got not only the full libretto to the musical, but we also saw how and why decisions were made by the people that took on these vital characters and how they made them so true to life today. Despite the story takes place in 1890, it proves we are all connected, and still suffer from so many of the same problems. This book and its truth really got under my skin.
