Accurate Portrayal Of A Great Guy
I started the book having only seen a few reruns of "Beverly Hills 90210" and no other evidence of Jason.I finished it being very much in love with this darling, precious young man.He is so kind and has shown such determination to succeed as an actor.He knows the limitations of 90210 and wants to utilize his potential as a sensitive actor.

A great read!!!
I am not a big "spy novel" fan as a rule but found myself with nothing to read one rainy afternoon and my husband suggested "Paranoia" so I thought what the heck.By the second chapter I was hooked!!I loved the play on the father/son relationship that was a thread through the entire book and the fast pased action kept me entertained for the rest of the day.I also enjoyed the 'spy' education I got.Joseph Finder has gained a frim place on my authors list.

a real page turner
Although this book is close to 500, I read it in two sittings. This book is what you can call a page turner. The ending wasn't the best but the rest of the book flew by like you wouldn't believe it. I can honestly say that this book at times seemed better than The Firm, butthat's a personal opinion.

I enjoyed this one a lot
This was a good book. Despite no detective bone in my body the ending did not surprise me. However, the book was incredibly well researched (I work in IT and thought that either the author did, too, or was a great researcher--turns out it's the latter) and interestingly written. As cliche as "page turner" is, this one was that to me.

*slight spoiler* I was frustrated at the protagonist's ineptitude in countering his handlers. Yes, sometimes they scanned for devices but in other situations he could easily have grabbed enough evidence to choke them out of existence and get them off his back.

Great Beginning, But Trailed Off at the End
I loved the beginning of the book when main character Adam Cassidy got himself into deep trouble at work for misuse of company funds and it looked as if he was headed for prison. I found myself thinking he had no way out and couldn't imagine what he was going to do. I simply had to keep reading to find out what happened to him. But then his employer presented him with an out and he had no choice but to commit industrial espionage at a competitor company. So far so good. We have a plot. The glimpses behind the walls of corporate America seemed believable--the projects, the ladder-climbing cubicle dwellers, the jargon. Some of the spy technology seemed far-fetched, but I didn't let that bother me since I was so into the story. However, as I read deeper into the book, it started to bog down. I couldn't get a handle on any of the characters who were mostly all unlikable, and even main character Adam didn't have all that much going for him. I guessed what was going on well before the ending, but kept on reading. Finally I got to the reveal. Then the book seemed to trail off into a non-ending. Adam was offered a high paying position at the company, and by that point I couldn't understand why they'd want him since he'd let himself be manipulated all the way. His final actions seemed out of character for someone who'd revealed himself to be sleazy and lazy. I mean, why the sudden burst of character? ... Read more
