Interesting and easy reader, but maps are missing in Kindle version
Interesting book about Alexander's life. The book is an 'easy reader' and doesn't go too much into details, but a good overview of history. Although I enjoyed the book, the reason for giving it 3 stars is that the illustrations and maps are missing in the Kindle version. Maps are a must if you like to 'picture' the route Alexander took during his conquests.

The best way for busy people to learn history
Although I know Peter the Great and visited his status when I was studying in Russia, I really do not know much about him.

Abbott's book indeed gave me comprehensive knowledge on Peter the Great. Also I am very much impressed by Abbott's references. In this context, this is a serious historical book.
