5-0 out of 5 stars As much fun as the movie!
This is a very large paperback that includes both the full script from the movie and a scrapbook of scenes and excerpts. I laughed as hard reading the script as I did at the movie itself -- in part because I now understood what they were saying! Brian was the best Python movie -- the only one with a complete story, and fine mistreatment of Christianity. This book is a great way to remember it.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Don't confuse this large-format trade paperback (isbn 0448165686, 11x14") with the small mass-market paperback (no isbn, 4x7") with the same title which contains only the script (no scrapbook).

5-0 out of 5 stars Great book from the GREATEST film!
This book has great photos, illustrations, and EVEN DELETED SCENES like one where Brian is trying to pass as a preacher, and rants about variousthings people do wrong ... "...and join false sects..." "What? Enjoy forced sex? "

This book is NOT to be missed.Ifyou can find it that is. I have one, but it is falling apart due tomediocre binding. ... Read more

From the supplier: Customer retention can lead to significant gains in profit. This is because current customers cost less to serve and own more accounts per household than new customers. They are also the best source of new customers and attract staying employees and vice versa. Banks can close the customer retention gap by undertaking three steps. These are improving customer retention within a time frame and assigning the best personnel to the task, examining the qualities that attract staying customers and implementing solutions to effectively close this gap.

5-0 out of 5 stars Brief
Also known as 'All the Words', this is exactly what it says on the tin - the scripts for every single show (minus the two German episodes), plus some amusingly-crude photographs, and an index. There isn't really a way ofreviewing this book without straying from the brief and reviewing the showitself, so I'll stop here. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Picked by Terry Gilliam
This whole "Pocketful of Python" series strikes me as just a bit odd. Much of it was released to mark Monty Python's 30th Anniversary, and it seems like something of a cash-in. After all, it's just portions of other Python books crammed into several volumes in a slightly new way.
That said, I have gotten an awful lot of enjoyment from the series (hence the four star rating.) This selection of material edited by Terry Gilliam has some very good material. There are very few copper bottom Python classics in it (other than the Prince in the Tower), there are some of my favorite unappreciated bits, like The Old Storyteller, Adventures of Walter the Wallaby, What to Do When Meeting the Royal Family, and the German Lumberjack Song.
In addition, there is a preface by Eric Idle (at the back of the book) which is probably the funniest of the "Pocketful of Python" series.

5-0 out of 5 stars not just for brits
since i saw "holy grail" 6 years ago, (i was 10) i have been hell bent on finding everything the pythons ever did. unfortunately most of my friends don't share my enthusiasm for british comedy, but i think it should be known that the occasional american recognizes comedic genius when she sees it. for all those who live in areas where mention of the pythons is scarce, this is a must have. you'll be quoting them in your head at school, at work, on the bus, wherever. just ignore the people who turn and look when you burst out laughing.

5-0 out of 5 stars This is Abuse....Stupid Git
Well, what CAN be said? It is good to see humour spelled with a pair of U's (per the King's English). Whilst doth contain numerous funny bits, perhaps the American palate is not suited for wit which possesses intellectual subtleties.

For our American friends I recommend Rosanne Arnold, fluorescent plaid sport-coats (with matching white 5cm/2" belt), premium Wisconsin 3 week old processed cheese slices, Napa Valley's finest blush and a domestic rum tipped Colt cigar. ... Read more
