Wonderful Spiritual Heartwarming Journey for All to read *grow from.
wow, I LOVED this book. Alana Stewart: YOU are such an angelic loving friend to your precious friend Farrah. What a true devotion and support system they found in one another in the "Ups and downs" of Hollywood life. I learned so much about what the journey of having a loved one with cancer involves. While absorbing this heartwarming journal of Alana's, I felt as if I were in the presence of Farrah and Alana. I also learned about living in the present and enjoying life in the moment. Embrace your loved ones while they are here..
These two magnificent women are two rare "jewels of gold" that have multiple depths of spirituality and cherish thier souls/beings; Farrah and Alana I realized or new all along are quite rare gems in an environment that is known for superficiality and distrust.I truly enjoyed Alana's spiritual loving spirit and wonderful sense of humor throughout this book.Also, all her antidotes having hope and faith and prayer through our higher power GOD..above. He gave Alana and Farrah energy and determination for 3 years battling for her life. What an honest gentle colorful kind genuine lady Alana is. She is so open about her personal trials and tribulations with her health, fate and children. She really opens up the curtain and lets the reader into the darkness, sadness along with the happiness of she and Farrah's relationship. Yet, she is so impressively Loyal not to divulge the painful parts of Farrah's life or any of her personal secrets( we all know by now).. If only everyone had a 'Treasured friendship sisterhood" as these two shared; they, both will find one another in HEAVEN someday. I discovered not only are they both breathtakingly GORGEOUS on the outside but their inner beautyand human values Radiantly glow after finishing this book.I LOVE THEM BOTH for what they gave to us: The beautiful book and the beautiful educational documentary. Wonderful read
This was a greatbook and very interesting regarding what Farrah Fawcett went through. She put up a very strong fight with her battle with cancer and Alana Stewart did a excellent job portraying all this in the book. It really gave you a feel for what she went through and how much her family and friends miss her dearly

Love this book!
I'm not quite finished reading this book, but I love the details that Alana Stewart has written. It is so detailed, you can picture everything she is actually saying. My heart goes out to Farrah and her family, having had to endure what she went through. The amount of love and support that Alana gives to her very good friend is truly touching and amazing. Very good book!

The title practically says it all
"My journey with Farrah" is a book about how Farrah's best friend Alana helped Farrah during her battle with cancer--from the time she was diagnosed until her death.It is written in diary form as if you were reading Alana's diary.From Alana's point of view, you get an inside peek at Farrah's cancer battle.The book demonstrates to me the love Alana and Farrah had for each other.The story will humble you as you gain insight into how an extraordinarily beautiful and down-to-earth woman could be ravaged by such a disease.

I've read most of the negative reviews about this book, but did not have the same reaction as the other readers had.Although at times Alana can come across as selfish, I don't think this book would have been "true" had she not revealed her innermost thoughts that make Alana a human being like anyone else.I commend Alana for voicing those thoughts even though most might recoil at them.Since Ryan (Farrah's significant other for 30+ years) supported Alana in the writing of this book, I believe Farrah would approve.

If you are looking for a book about Farrah's life, this is not it.However, if you want to know all about Farrah's battle with cancer these last few years through Alana's eyes, then this book will give you a glimpse of Farrah's struggle along with what Alana's life was like during that time.

Contemporary artist Keith Edmier has long been exploring the impact of public history on personal memory in his work. The pop icons of his youth-- such as Evel Knievel-- were seminal figures in the developing artist's psyche. Perhaps the most important figure in the artist's pantheon of inspiration is Farrah Fawcett. The object of many teen boys' affections in the 1970s, Fawcett was a particularly resonant figure for Edmier as she herself was an artist, a fact that he discovered in an issue of the teen magazine Dynamite.

In August 2000, after Edmier extended a formal invitation to the actress to join him in making a work of art, Edmier and Fawcett began what would become a two-year collaboration which produced several sculptures (including two large-scale nude sculptures of each other) and numerous photographs and drawings. The results of this extraordinary project are chronicled in this volume.

The essay by Lynn Zelevansky, curator of contemporary and modern art at Los Angeles County Museum of Art where the exhibition of the work debuted, explores other potent artist/muse pairings and how the traditional hierarchy of this kind of undertaking has been eroded by Fawcett's full participation in the project. She also considers how their project engages pop culture, writing: "...[Fawcett] and Edmier have reminded us about the world of images we inhabit, where it can be difficult to tell the real from the imaginary. visual documentary of artistic collaboration
This is a printed visual documentary of a collaboration between artist Keith Edmier and Farrah Fawcett (the Farrah Fawcett also a very talented artist)anyone who has watched her ALL OF ME video will already be aware of talent in sculpture. Edmier produced a marble statue of Fawcett reclining and she did a life size bronze sculpture of him, the photographs document their artistic process and are very interesting. The essay is a bit twee and it would have been interesting to add more complete bios of both artists.
