Good book
I bought this book a year ago and have cooked about 20+ recipes from it. I would have never guessed a cookbook by Reader's Digest can be this good.I was recently at my In-Laws over the Christmas holiday and was the designated chief this time. It is not an easy family to cook for: there is a vegan in the family and another can't have salt in his diet.Well, everyone was happy with their food. One caviar, many of the recipes require sizable amount of cheese. So if you are a vegan or want to watch your dairy intake then this might not be the book for you. ... Read more

Perfect present!
A good friend gave me this book for my birthday. It is absolutely unique--I have not seen another book like it. From the vibrantly colored flowers to Dietmar's truly one-of-a-kind artistic vision, Flower Album has found a very happy home on my bookshelf (plus, it makes for a great conversation starter when sitting on the coffeetable). not what I expected
I should have known after I read the disclaimer about "this book in no way promoting violence" that I had chosen the wrong book. The transference principle is valid, but visualization of wringing someone's neck can't be a good idea.

The natural cure!
I was so tired of pills and Dr. appointments. This is a natural way to relieve your anxiety and depression. It not only saved me extra money, but you can do it at your own pace on your own time. No more worries about people judging you. I recommend this book to anyone that feels like they need to take control of their emotions the right and natural way. If it worked for me, it can work for you. Not only did this book relieve my depression and anxiety, it created an overall wellness. I strive to be happier not only for me but for my family!

I highly recommend this book. These are tough times that we are going through (economically speaking). And it's very easy to feel down, depressed and hopeless. This book is not going to sugar coat anything for you. But sometimes that's exactly what we need- some brutal bluntness to set us straight. You don't have to be "into" zen/ying&yang/etc. to enjoy this book and to take something away from it. It's a good, inspirational read. I recommend it! Check it out!

Stop Denying Your Reality
Tao Cycle Therapy acknowledges something I've noticed for some time: the development of a kind of mental plague in our culture, nowadays described by terms such as Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and similar syndromes or constellations of symptoms relating to depression, anxiety, or both.

It seems intuitively obvious that there must be better solutions to depression and anxiety than anti-depressants or anti-anxiety drugs offer. While these drugs may provide short-term relief when used in conjunction with a skilled medical professional, they may be ineffective as long-term solutions, since they can mask underlying patterns that are the real source of the stress in our lives -- whether internally or externally generated.

The book explains how our cultural conditioning and social adaptation often create pressure to deny our truest selves. For instance, guilt and shame are "civilized" responses to primitive survival impulses. This internal conflict is the basis of anxiety.
