Extractions: This is my single-page tribute to Lee Tergesen, a brilliant actor who currently stars in the HBO show ``Oz.'' I'm not a real computer buff so multi-page websites are bit beyond me at this point, but I just had to create this page to tell anyone who's willing to listen about this man who has so completely captured my admiration. On ``Oz,'' Lee plays Tobias Beecher, a lawyer who was convicted of drunk driving and vehicular manslaughter. I first began watching ``Oz'' in July 2000 and the first episode I saw was ``A Cock and Balls Story.'' I was immediately drawn to the Beecher character his heart, his weaknesses, his strengths. Beecher hates himself for his crimes but he also has a huge heart and tries to reach out to do good, even when it's not always the best idea. I emphathized with Beecher so strongly that I found myself justifying his actions, even when he was clearly making the wrong choices. Lee's performance really struck me right in the gut and I defy anyone to watch an episode of ``Oz'' any episode and not be moved Lee's work. A few weeks after watching that episode, I began to explore more about the man behind Beecher and was surprised to find out that I had seen Lee in a few movies and t.v. shows but did not remember him.

I look back at Derek, say ``Thanks,'' or something and then turn my attention back to Lee. He takes the box again from Derek and looks at me. He asks me my name. And I remembered it. ;) So I tell him, and he asks, ``With an e or without?'' I tell him with, and say ``Thanks for asking.''
