If you don't believe me, crank it at the end of the record and you can hear Durst say "Pinfield fucking went off" 4 of 5 people found this comment helpful. Did you?

I'm Matt Pinfield, and this is of course D'arcy and James of the Smashing Pumpkins, and we're also joined by Chris Collingwood and Adam Schlesinger of Fountains of Wayne. Good to have you guys here." Group: "Good to be here." Matt: "Adam, years ago you plaed in a Jersey band called The Red House. Keyboards...a long time ago." Adam: "Yeah, that's when we first met I think (nods towards Chris). Way back when. The radio station at La Shore (?)." Matt: "And then of course with Ivy as well." Adam: "uh huh..." Matt: "And umm...this Fountains of Wayne record is an excellend record, it's really cool. And people are really uh, are really reacting to it. But are you suprised at the reaction, that people are really...you know..." Adam: "I think we are...you know, the whole record came together really quickly. I mean, Chirs and I used to play together in a band, and we stopped playing together for a few years because of various other things we were doing, and uh...we wrote the songs fast, and recorded them fast, and you know, we were just very pleasantly supprised that everyone liked it as much as they did." Matt: "Now the band was the Wallflowers wasn't it?"

Extractions: Matt Pinfield Bio Los Angeles, CA. -Jimmy and Doug's Farmclub.com (www.farmclub.com) today announced that Matt Pinfield will host the "Farmclub.com" television show debuting on USA Network, January 31, 2000 at 11p.m. directly after World Wrestling Federation's "Monday Night Raw." Matt Pinfield comes to the Farmclub.com from MTV where he became a household name in the cable music industry. Matt hosted weekly and daily shows on MTV including "120 Minutes," "Pinfield Presents," "Take it to the Matt" on "MTV Live" and VJ'd on "M2." "I've worked with Matt for many years," said Doug Morris, chairman and chief executive officer of Universal Music Group (UMG). "His knowledge and love of music makes him one of the top VJ's in the business. He knows the Internet so he can speak to the new generation of viewers that already experience entertainment and the Internet as one and the same." Matt started with MTV in 1993 where his interviewing skills and music knowledge soon earned him the positions of host on MTV's weekly show "120 Minutes" and manager of music programming for the channel. As his popularity spread, Matt was chosen to VJ "M2," which featured a "freeform" playlist of new artists, and given his own weekly hour long rock program called "Pinfield Presents" showcasing the latest and greatest in rock music. Matt also hosted a regular call-in segment on "MTV Live" called "Take It To The Matt" where phone-in guests tried to stump him on his music knowledge by asking obscure music trivia
Read Magazine matt pinfield Makes Me Blush By Megan A little known and sore thumb. Yes,he's matt pinfield, and he's one of us goddammit! The beauty http://www.readmag.com/Columns/mattpinfield.html
Extractions: By Megan A little known and terribly embarrassing fact about myself that I will now share with the masses is that I'm an MTV junkie. In general, I'm a discriminating television viewer who won't sit through even five minutes of a B movie on channel 11, even if it is a rainy Saturday. But put me in front of my boyfriend's t.v. with it's glorious cable hook-up and it's all over. I've watched "Rock and Jock". I've watched "Singled Out". I've watched "Real World in Florida. No matter how bad it gets, I stay tuned.** Into this wasteland of decadence and diet drugs comes a hero for our time. Sure he's a little chubby. Sure he's not photogenic. Sure he has no interviewing skills whatsoever. But still, there he is, standing right next to the beautiful people, sticking out like a sore thumb. Yes, he's Matt Pinfield, and he's one of us goddammit! Plus he never knows what to do with his hands. Remember when you were in that play in 3rd grade, and you had that big speaking role and every eye in the auditorium was on you as you said your one line and suddenly you had no idea what to do with your hands? One line to get through and no matter what you did with your hands, move them or let them hang limply at your sides or raise them slightly, it looked weird and unnatural. Welcome to every day in Matt's life. Watch as he self-consciously raises it to make a point, then changes his mind half-way through and drops it again. It's a thing of beauty.
The Personality-less MTV Personalities Don't say we didn't warn you! And you heard it here . first! matt pinfield CONSPIRACY! matt is a snowman. Think about it. Take two balls. http://members.aol.com/musictvxns/page3.html
Extractions: The "Personality-LESS" MTV Personalities! And you thought Martha Quinn was the only one who could make you shout, "QUICK! Pass me that noose laced in cyanide!" Actually, I used to wish for a loaded sawed-off shotgun to put myself out of my misery. But it seems "UNBEARABLE ANNOYINGNESS" has reared it's ugly head yet again in the face of MTV's new (and old).... "personality-less" personalities. ANANDA LEWIS Okay, I've met paint chips with more personality than this girl. She sort of reminds me of a lost child... wandering this Earth scared, alone, and with icky, dirty hair. For some unknown reason, she always feels the need to "touch" each guest, so watch for it... you'll see what we mean. Ananda is just "there." She is BLAND and boring. She tries SOOO hard to be cool, and her effort just doesn't work. She is dipped in phoniness. (And while we're on the subject of dipping, just WHAT does she dip her hair in? I think that's the same stuff I used to stop my mountain-bike's rear wheel from squeaking.) CARSON DALY DAVE HOLMES Oh Davey boy! Please refrain from wearing those tight-knit sweaters that cling to your tire-esque gut. Those clingy little numbers may work for Rebecca Romijin-Stamos, but we don't think that's QUITE the avenue you should travel down. Anyhow, Dave is only on MTV because

They would also travel to areas around the globe (Seattle, Manchester) and profile the burgeoning music scenes. After Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Nine Inch Nails, etc. became mainstream acts in the early '90s, MTV was playing their videos on a regular basis, not just late nights on Sunday, thus defeating the purpose of 120 Minutes. Around 1993, MTV had a half-hour show called "Alternative Nation" hosted by Kennedy. It was basically a PG version of 120 Minutes. Now, teen bands and rap/rock combos, who actually flaunt that "I wanna be a rock star" image, are all the rage, and MTV is focusing all their energy on them. Matt Pinfield sucked. He acted as though every two-bit punk band he interviewed had just released the greatest album in the history of rock. What a suck-up. I think Dave Kendall was the best host of the show.
Extractions: Page One Updated January 6, 1996 MTV 120 Minutes aired their KROQ Almost Acoustic special early Christmas Morning in the US from 1:00AM to 4:00AM (and showed it again at midnight December 29th ). I watched the show, but I fell asleep and missed Tori Luckily, my good friend Stacey Russell taped the show, and I now have photos for you! Danica Knox kindly provided me with the complete transcript you see below as well. The show was not as great as I hoped. They mainly showed regular videos and only showed 5-10 second clips from the actual KROQ Christmas concert. Matt Pinfield also talked to the artists backstage for about 1-2 minutes. They showed a 10 second clip of Tori singing Precious Things , and they played the Silent All These Years video. Take Me To Page Two Please! Here is Danica's Transcipt! I just saw Tori on MTV, with the KROQ special . Thank goodness they decided to show it. This is what happened...They actually played Silent All These Years , which TOTALLY threw me for a loop! Figures that they would play a Tori video when she is on, and one that can be easily found (home video). After the video Tori talked to
