A Free Man In Hong Kong - Review Of "Heroic Cops" Heroic Cops Richard ng Tao Chow YunFat Yung Ah Pang Danny Lee Sau-Yin Mak Kayng Man Tat IMDb link http//us.imdb.com/Title?0077772 other links Version http://nbi.com/hk/cyf/reviews/rev45.html
Extractions: While CYF has played many characters in his career who do particularly nasty things, none of the actual characters have been really nasty - except Richard Ng Tao. This is a guy who kills not only because he gets paid to do it, but you get the feeling he really, really enjoys his work. In one scene about an hour into the movie, CYF handcuffs the 'heroic cop' Ah Pang (played by Danny Lee) to a tree root, then kicks, punches, stomps, hops up and down on and just generally abuses poor Ah Pang, all the while grinning, fluttering his famous eyebrows up and down and laughing like a maniac as he does so. Oh, and did I mention that he urinates in his face afterward? Not your typical CYF role. There's no crisis of conscience
[KFCC] Love On Delivery Review Date reviewed 06/11/2002. Producer Mona Fong. Director Lee Lik Chi. Cast StephenChow, Christy Chung, ng Man Tat, Peter Lai, Ben Lam, Paul Chun, Phillip Chan. http://www.kfccinema.com/reviews/comedy/lovedelivery/lovedelivery.html
Extractions: Story: Review: To go ahead and get the formalities out of the way, and to do a favor for all of the lazy readers out there, Love on Delivery is pure Stephen Chow excellence. It ranks only a small notch below classics such as Shaolin Soccer and God of Cookery in my opinion. The movie itself is so well put together, that there are absolutely no out of place jokes, and the story hooks the viewer from the fantastic opening to the hilarious climax.
[KFCC] Shaolin Soccer Review Cast Stephen Chow, Vicki Zhao Wei, ng Man Tat, Patrick Tse Yin, Wong Yat Fei, TinKai Man, Lam Tze Chung, Chan Kwok Kwan, Mok Lei Lam, Lam Tsz Sin, Karen Mok http://www.kfccinema.com/reviews/comedy/shaolinsoccer/shaolinsoccer.html
Extractions: Story: Review: Alright. I think this needs to be said and deserves to be spoken out loud at least 3 times a day before breakfast, lunch and dinner. "Stephen Chow is a golden god." Not only that, but he's a genius in every possible way. How this man became into being and achieved the intelligence he has now blows my mind. Now, take a moment and think about it and answer this next inquiry for me. Can anyone name a good soccer movie that has ever come out?
My Personal Top Eleven Chow Sing Chi Flicks ng Man Tat returns triumphantly and so does someone else whom I won't mention.^_^(PS I only saw it a few hours ago, so I'm not sure if I'd rank it with, say http://www.moroturkey.com/10chow.html
Extractions: NEW! Shaolin Soccer Chow's latest is supposed to be released in the States sometime, but you should go out and get yourself the original version in the meanwhile. This delerious soccer fantasy will make you scream with delight (and psychosomatic soccer-injury anguish!) Ching Siu Tung directs the ground-breaking digitally enhanced action scenes. Ng Man Tat returns triumphantly...and so does someone else whom I won't mention.^_^ (PS- I only saw it a few hours ago, so I'm not sure if I'd rank it with, say, GOD OF COOKERY. But...it's pretty damn terrific.) A Chinese Odyssey Part 2 Well, of course you have to see Part 1 first. They're not self-contained- in fact, it's basically one long movie in two parts. This flick is kind of impossible to synopsize, as it involves time-travel, reincarnation, soul-switching, Buddhism, and all kinds of gods and ghosts. Stephen Chow plays Sun Wukung, the monkey-god hero of the famous Chinese novel JOURNEY TO THE WEST. (I haven't finished reading JTTW yet, but these movies don't seem to be a straight retelling of the story.) Ng Man Tat is Piggy.^_^ All the performances are great, the action sequences by Ching Siu-tung are sensational, and I discover some cool new facet of the plot every time I watch it. For this reason, I think this is maybe my very favorite Stephen Chow flick...The subtitles do NOT help, however. Be warned. In fact, one comic highlight, a musical number by Law Kar Ying , is not subtitled at all! However, I have the translation right here. Tons of thanks to Sebastion Tse for this- the

God Of Gamblers 3 : Back To Shanghai Review of 'God of Gamblers 3 Back To Shanghai' starring Stephen Chow Sing Chi,Gong Li, ng Man Tat and Loy Leung Wai. Gong Li. ng Man Tat. Charles Heung. http://www.dragonsdenuk.com/reviews/godofgamblers3.htm
Extractions: powered by FreeFind GOD OF GAMBLERS 3 : BACK TO SHANGHAI (1991) A.K.A. - God Of Gamblers III : Back To Shanghai Reviewed by Phil Mills Having finally got his wish to learn the art of gambling from the God Of Gamblers, Sing (Chow) returns home to find he is the talk of the town. However, with this new found responsibility comes danger in the form of rival gamblers who compete for fame and fortune. When they combine their powers, Sing is transported back through time to 1937 where he arrives just in time to save his own grandfather (Man Tat). On his quest to find his way home, Sing is befriended by Triad boss Ding Lik who offers him all the wealth he needs in exchange for his gambling skills. However, the only thing that he really wants is the love of Ding's wife, who is gentle with him one minute and cold as ice the next. It's up to Sing to chose between helping Ding or risking all by trying to the win the hand of the woman he loves. Following on from ' God Of Gamblers 2 ', this film only re-employs the services of Chow Sing Chi and Ng Man Tat as they were the team that made the second film so successful. Thankfully, it moves away from the cheap repetition that plagued the last production and comes up with a completely new film that only borrows ideas from the original concept to add to the story.
