Sounding much more polished and confident than her 17 years would indicate, she puts some real smoke into Turn Up The Lovin' and smoothly changes gears for Betcha Can't Make Me Love , an excellent ballad. Extractions: album review by: Lisa Jansen-Rees I began reviewing this CD, as I do all others, by NOT really listening. I know that sounds strange, but you have to go with what works. And what works for me is to pop in the disk while I'm preoccupied with other work and then wait to see what grabs me. It didn't take long for Ashley Marie to grab me. Mid-way through the first song I had to stop what I was doing to hunt up the press kit. Surely I had my artists confused. This couldn't be that little slip of a 15 year old girl, still innocent enough to add two shiny pony stickers to the outside of her media envelope. This voice was strong and powerful and it spoke to me of lessons learned through living. But, the press kit and photo bore out the truth. This incredible voice did indeed belong to 15 year old Ashley Marie. Ashley's self titled debut CD starts off with a honkey tonkin' line dancer's dream - Gonna Tame You, Honey . That one cut will make you sit up and take notice. It will also, hopefully, get you ready for the rest of what this young lady has to offer. Turn Up The Lovin' , the second song on the album has a great hook. This is the kind of song that you'll be singing after hearing it only once on the radio.

Extractions: This is the story of Ashley Marie Sanders. Ashley was born 7-29-98. I was Ashley's day care provider, Sherry. I started keeping her when she was 6 weeks old. Her mother was in school to be a nurse. She cried the first day she left her, but she knew Ashley was in good hands. Ashley was a big part of mine and my husband's life. We have tried for over two years to have a baby together. Then Ashley came into our lives! We love her so and always will. Ashley was taken to get her shots on a Tuesday morning, then she was brought to me at around 1:00 p.m. I do want everyone to know if your child dies in childcare, please don't leave them out, you could never image how it affects them. Ashley's mother Rebecca never left me out at all. I helped her with everything. I even got to help dress Ashley for the last time. I know that you may feel it's your baby but sit down and think how the other person feels. I live every day of my life with Ashley on my mind. I found her; she died in my home. Every time I walk in my door Ashley is there. Every night I lay my head down there she is again. So parents think about it before you close the door on your daycare provider always keep them in your life. Remember they were the last one with your loved one. Keep in mind as you look at Ashley's page's she was one of a kind :)
