With 11:42 left in the fourth period, BC added their final goal as Ted Cella found senior Matthew Saffai open in front of the net who put it past the goalie. August 1999 ACC Meeting Minutes john Harvey, Chair Bon Heaton, Selectman Thornton Stearns Bill Wichman Richard Hart,Howard Charles Koch will be asked to register the daquino Forest as a tree http://users.rcn.com/harts.ma.ultranet/acc/Sept99minutes.shtml
Extractions: Anne Krantz The August meeting minutes were approved. The Treasurer had received no bank statement or town accountants report on which to report. The town has yet to set up the accounting for the Peabody Mill Environmental Center so no status of accounts could be reviewed. Jan reported on sending our news to the NHACC for its newsletter. Charles Koch will be asked to register the Daquino Forest as a tree farm. Bill reported the wetlands survey has progressed well and the field work will be completed soon. Alice Pacquette and several teenage 4-H members appeared to request support in their effort to clear the former Bedford Ski Club slope at the Bragdon Farm. Primarily they wish to remove the invasive autumn olive and scrap metal. The ACC said support in the form of chipping or removal of material from the site would be given. The ACC asserted its interest in the property and desire to uphold the voters desire that the land be managed for conservation. It was a surprise to most members to learn that new survey markers are evident on the hill where communications facilities had previously been proposed. John reported on communications from DES regarding a cease and desist order being served on a Baboosic Lake owner for illegal filling at Lot 24-59. Review of a proposed subdivision along the Souhegan River brought out concerns for setbacks and future streambank erosion. The Commission would like to see future access provided for over a road abandoned when the NBAS was created in 1943 as the Tyrrel land is subdivided. The commissioners realize this is outside the ordinance and would be a community-oriented concession by the owners. Bruce reported on conversations that may lead to a proposed zoning change that would create a conservation district overlay on the NBAS and possibly other parcels. Legal maneuverings over the Woolsey bequest were discussed and a future addition to the Ross Sanctuary noted. Bruce suggested offering donors of easements on parcels over 10 acres free land management services. This will be considered at a future meeting.

Commissioner Landi stated that the Snow and Ice Removal Agreement involves an act by the Board of Legislators authorizing his office to enter into inter-municipal agreements with municipalities willing to clear snow and ice from County roads within their jurisdictions. With the exception of the Bronx River Parkway and Grasslands Reservations, local municipalities have always provided for the removal of snow and ice from County roads. He stated that the new inter-municipal Agreements will be for a term of five years, from October 1, 2000 through September 30, 2005. Legislator Carsky asked if seasonal workers would be hired to remove the snow and ice from the bridges? She stated that at one time welfare-to-work clients would remove the ice and snow from the bridges over the Bronx River Parkway, however, this has not happened for several years.
