"I'm like Tyr in every respect," observes Cobb in his resonant baritone. "Everything that I in my genteel social upbringing have been taught not to do, he can do. Unfortunately, I'm not genetically enhanced. It's sort of like 'Keith on steroids.'" A popular soap opera actor and one of People Magazine 's "Most Beautiful People in the World" four years ago, Cobb had his Andromeda character specifically created for him, unlike all of the other cast members except Kevin Sorbo. (Sylvia Nolan's *brilliant* idea, BTW.) I decided that since we were driving all that way to meet him, and since there were no flights leaving Austin to New York following his appearance and he was obviously going to have to spend the night in Austin, that he might as well just have dinner with us and party with us on 6th Street after that. So I mailed him a very nice letter inviting him to have dinner and do the town with us on Saturday night after his appearance. It was very persuasive, if I do say so myself. J. Marie Davis then followed up with another letter the week before the trip which she sent via the overnight Federal Express to the AMC studios reiterating our request. So on Friday night, we happily took off for Austin. Like the good partier that she is, Sylvia had gotten some white shoe polish and written on the back of the windshield:
