This is a well kept cemetery on the western edge of the city of Norwood, Minnesota. At first glance it appears to be one large cemetery, but the area actually contains two cemeteries. The majority of the cemetery is the Forest Hills Cemetery Association Cemetery and I believe the north-east part of the cemetery to be the Norwood Public Cemetery. In the "Compendium of History and Biography of Carver and Hennepin Counties, Minnesota" [1915] edited by Maj. R.I. Holcombe and William H. Bingham, they wrote: 'The Norwood Cemetery Association was organized in December, 1876, and the grounds located in the western part of town.' (page 247). This cemetery was transcribed in 1990.

Extractions: The parents of Brigadier Lionel Kington , who after thirty-nine years of Officership had been called to his Reward, were among the first fourteen Soldiers enrolled at the opening of Camberwell. In those days, when the Open-Air fighters reached the Hall they were often almost unrecognizable, being so smothered and battered by the refuse and blows. Yet the experience of his parents failed to dampen the ardour of Lionel, who sought Salvation in his early teens, became an enthusiatic worker in the Young People's activities of the Corps, and was later transferred to the Band. His cornet saved his head from more than one dangerous blow.

Martha (Wiedhofft) Palmer & Family The Family of Martha Wiedhofft (Palmer) Martha Eliza Wiedhofft was born in Westminster, the eldest daughter of Daniel Chrystal and Martha (Baker). which shows that Young Henry Palmer was born about 1868, Alfred Palmer in 1873.and daughter Martha Palmer arriving in http://www.ilp.freewire.co.uk/Martha.htm
Extractions: The Family of Martha Wiedhofft (Palmer) Martha Eliza Wiedhofft was born in Westminster, the eldest daughter of Daniel Chrystal and Martha (Baker). She was shown living with her family at 53 Compton Street, Clerkenwell in the 1851 Census Martha may well have been the witness to her brother William's wedding at St Andrews, Holborn in 1854 The Census of 1861 finds Martha at 37 Upper Rosoman Street, Clerkenwell. The spelling this time has changed to Wiedhoefft and she at home with her parents and younger sister Christiana, and the house is shared with young Martha's soon to be brother-in-law Edwin Palmer with his wife Sara and 3 year old daughter Mary E. Both Martha and Christiana are shown as artificial florists. Martha's father died in May 1864, and on the 24th September of the following year (1865) Martha married Henry Palmer just down the road at St James, Clerkenwell. Both gave their address as 37 Upper Rosoman Street. Henry was born about November 1842 the son of Robert Parker Palmer (mother may be Ann W.) a tailor of Clerkenwell. On the wedding certificate her age was given as 26 and his as 22. The witnesses were Robert Parker Palmer and Christiana Caroline Wiedhofft. Martha's father is shown as Christian Daniel Wiedhofft, a brass finisher. The only other information that I have is from the 1881 census, which shows that young Henry Palmer was born about 1868, Alfred Palmer in 1873.and daughter Martha Palmer arriving in 1875.
