Extractions: Thanks to Miss Rebecca Thomas, and Dot and Cooper DeRamus for compiling and sending me this list. Although this is a Hale County, Alabama Cemetery, it is located less than 3 miles from the North-West Perry County Line. When the Cemetery was started it was part of Greene County, Ala. and I was able to find the will of my Great, Great, Great, Great, Great Grandfather, Samuel Patton, who was buried in Mt. Hermon, in Eutaw, Ala, the county seat for Greene County. Anything in parenthesis has been added by family members and is NOT on the stones.

Extractions: Uncle Josh Weatherby JOHNSTOWN - The Johnstown Christian Women's Club and the Adirondack Foothills After 5 Club are hosting a "Stepping Out Guest Night" at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 19 at the Best Western in Amsterdam. Entertainment will include Larry Cramer of Northville portraying "Uncle Josh Weathersby," faithfully capturing the rural flavor, humor and laugh of he 'Feller that put the Josh in joshin,' as he tells the stories and poems, more than a hundred in all, depicting "Josh," the hayseed from Punkin Center, trying to cope with life in a fast changing society. "Uncle Josh" was originally created by Cal Stewart, 1856-1919, and in his heyday, "Josh" made so many laugh that he was asked to perform for heads of state and U.S. presidents. Richard Bisnett, Rensselaer, will present a dynamic and humorous talk, "In Step with Life." Bisnett is a Johnstown High School graduate, attended R.I.T. and is retired from the State of New York. He is now a real estate appraiser and a member of the Gideon Society. His wife is the former Gail Parker of Gloversville and they have two daughters and several grandchildren. Brian and Merriam of Schenectady will provide musical treats.
