Extractions: In September of 2002 I visited Pine Hill Cemetery on Eel Weir Road in the town of Oswegatchie. The cemetery is on the West side of the road, north of the intersection with Lost Village road. I photographed and recorded the tombstones within the cemetery. Below is the inventory I developed during that visit. When a picture is available, the name of the person will be 'clickable' to bring up the picture. NOTE: The only names recorded here are for people who had markers that I could find in the cemetery. It does not include any other people who might have been buried but for whom no marker could be found. All comments can be directed to Anne M. Cady

This cemetery is located beside the Jackson Cemetery - there is only a ditch separating them. Physical address is 3974 Chatham Kent #3 also known as Talbot Trail. There were a few totally unreadable stones and a couple of areas where it looks like there should be stones but either they were never bought or someone removed them. Extractions: This cemetery was established in the 1880s. According to the staff, there are no records of any burials before 1891. Records of burials between 1891 and 1915 contain only a limited amount of information. Records after 1915 are much more complete. Most of the earlier burials are Irish, but there are some Portuguese and French as well. We have only transcribed those stones that are, or likely are, of Irish individuals, and others are included if they were on the same stone. Transcriptions are completed of all existing stones of Irish burials for Plats 1, 2, 2A and 3. (10/02) Plat 1
