Extractions: SIGMUND FREUD Sigmund Freud nasceu no dia 06 de maio de 1856, na pequena cidade de Freiberg, na Morávia (antiga Tchecoslováquia). Quando tinha 4 anos sua família mudou-se para Viena, onde residiu até 1938, quando mudou-se para a Inglaterra, fugindo do Nazismo. Morreu em 23 de setembro de 1939, em Londres. Foi um excelente aluno, apesar da limitação financeira da sua família. Por ser judeu, todas as carreira profissionais fora a Medicina e o Direito foram-lhe vedadas. Na Universidade de Viena, onde fora tratado como inferior, fortaleceu-se sua capacidade de suportar críticas. Aos 26 anos recebeu o diploma de médico. Trabalhando primeiro como cirurgião, depois em clínica geral, tornou-se médico interno do principal hospital de Viena. Fez um curso de Psiquiatria, o que aumentou seu interesse pelas relações entre sintomas mentais e distúrbios físicos. De 1884 a 1887 fez algumas das primeiras pesquisas com cocaína. Depois, tornou-se apreensivo em relação às suas propriedades viciantes e interrompeu a pesquisa. Freud obteve uma bolsa e foi para Paris trabalhar com Charcot, que induzia ou aliviava sintomas histéricos através da hipnose. Depois de certo tempo, Freud achou que a hipnose não era tão efetiva quanto se esperava e por fim abandonou-a, passando a encorajar seus pacientes a falarem livremente e a relatarem o que quer que pensassem independentemente da aparente relação (ou falta de relação) com seus sintomas.

Diverse sono le discipline che hanno subìto questo influsso: oltre alla psicologia e alla psicopatologia, che esprimono in massimo grado il loro debito nei confronti di Freud, l'influsso dello psicanalista di Vienna è fortemente operante anche nelle ricerche di carattere sociologico (Marcuse, Fromm), nella pedagogia (che alla luce del pensiero freudiano ha riconsiderato il problema del fanciullo e dei suoi rapporti con la famiglia e la società) e nell'antropologia. Va ricordato inoltre l'approccio psicanalitico ai fenomeni artistico-letterari, alla storia e alla mitologia. II) Freud è stato a lungo diffidente nei confronti della filosofia, ma ha finito per riconoscere più volte le implicazioni teoriche delle sue indagini e delle sue scoperte. Partito come terapeuta di malattie mentali, già nelle sue prime opere (Interpretazione dei sogni, Psicopatologia della vita quotidiana) egli appare consapevole del fatto che il suo discorso investe l'uomo in quanto tale e non solo come "essere malato". Più tardi i vari cicli di lezioni e alcuni suoi saggi, evidenzieranno maggiormente la portata filosofica delle sue ricerche; ma saranno gli scritti della tarda maturità e della vecchiaia che affronteranno in modo formale e diretto tutta una serie di problemi di ordine antropologico, morale e sociologico. Opere come Totem e tabù, Il disagio della civiltà e la Metapsicologia, appartengono interamente ad un ambito filosofico.

His ideas have influenced thinkers well beyond, for example, philosophers, others in the humanities, medical experts and key sociological thinkers. This lecture will be inevitably a brief introduction to Freuds wide-ranging and controversial contributions to the social sciences. Extractions: Sigmund Freud nació el 6 de mayo de 1856 en Freiberg, Moravia, pero a la edad de cuatro años se trasladó con su familia a Viena, donde vivió casi toda su vida. Después de su doctorado en medicina, se dedicó a la neurología y en 1885 obtiene un puesto como docente de Neuropatología en la Universidad de Viena. En los años que van de 1884 a 1887 publica algunos artículos, en los que expone los resultados de experimentos clínicos y sobre sí mismo con coca, recomendando el uso de la droga para numerosas indicaciones: son acogidos con interés por los ambientes científicos y le dan cierta notoriedad, pero la aparición de los primeros casos de adicción a la cocaína lo desacreditan. Como neurólogo tiene a su cargo -entre otros- a pacientes con trastornos funcionales, que somete a terapias basadas en la sugestión y la hipnosis. Justamente el uso de la hipnosis le lleva a ocuparse también de las teorías de los estados alterados de conciencia y del inconsciente, y a hacer hipótesis acerca del origen inconsciente de los trastornos físicos. Freud perfecciona este método buscando otras vías para investigar el inconsciente como la técnica de las asociaciones libres y la interpretación de los sueños; formula así una nueva teoría psicológica, el psicoanálisis. La terapia correspondiente debería modificar los mecanismos responsables de la remoción de determinados contenidos psíquicos en el inconsciente y, por tanto, las causas de los conflictos, y no sólo modificar temporalmente los síntomas, como sucedía con la hipnosis.

Para entonces la belleza y el estilo de sus escritos llamó la atención de sus profesores: "Mi profesor dijo -y es la primera persona que se atrevió a mencionarlo- que poseo lo que Herder denomina amablemente estilo idiota , es decir, un estilo a la vez característico y correcto". Naturaleza Sobre la coca . Pero el oftalmólogo Carl Koller se le adelantó y descubrió los efectos anestésicos de la cocaína sobre el ojo. Freud fue el primero en recomendar, en 1885, el uso de la cocaína, lo que le ocasionó un verdadero problema. Resulta que un amigo suyo contrajo una infección mientras disecaba un cadaver y hubo que amputarle un pulgar, y como le salían tumores muy dolorosos, se recurrió a la morfina. Freud pensó que con la cocaína su amigo podría abandonar la morfina, pero no fue así. La cocaína le produjo una adicción más aguda que precipitó su muerte. Freud fue acusado de desatar un "tercer flagelo" contra la humanidad, después del alcohol y la morfina. Después colaboró con Joseph Breuer, el especialista en enfermedades internas de mayor prestigio en Viena. Durante varios años Breuer había atendido a una paciente histérica, cuyo nombre era Bertha Pappenheim y que la pluma de Freud habría de inmortalizar con el nombre de "Anna 0". Breuer había descubierto que esa mujer era capaz de recordar detalles de situaciones traumáticas durante el trance hipnótico; cuando las emociones atrapadas se descargaban, mejoraban considerablemente los síntomas de la enferma. Breuer bautizó tal técnica con el nombre de "catarsis". En 1895 ambos publicaron un trabajo científico titulado

Tout se passe comme si les attentes morales de notre milieu faisaient partie de nous- même. Freud appelle cette partie de notre mental, le "surmoi".
