An increasing slice of the library's and its parent institutions resources are allocated to creating and maintaining computerized networks. Considerable effort is made to integrate these resources to foster the primary role of universities - deliver quality education to our students and foster quality research from the faculty. In many ways, the library is in a leadership role in adopting and making efficient use of the new emerging technologies and the services that they enable. Libraries have to think ahead and be ready to account for their investments, both in materials and in human resources. In order to eventually be able to benchmark some of the library networked services, we have to discuss which network measurement indicators should be tracked. Some of the issues:
